Damnit Frye. I hate when he gets into these cold spells and then passes up wide open shots. Dragic made a fantastic look for Frye, he gets it, hesitates, passes and the whole thing breaks down into a disaster.

A Harden flop and Howard lane violation for the Rockets win! Watching a 48 minute game only for the refs to decide its outcome with missed/ wrong calls is quite annoying.

That was some atrocious officiating.

Looks like Dragic's missed FTs could have been the difference in the game.

Still great overall game by him though.

I just want Frye gone. Don't care if we need to include a first-round pick for someone to take him- I just want him gone forever.

I see Frye picking up his player option for $6,800,000 next season. He will be an expiring contract then and perhaps can be included in a trade.

Yep, ridiculous. What a waste of time. Harden is out of control. He is always grabbing and pulling and falling down and getting the call. The NBA just looks the other way. He should be paying major fines.

Oh well.

Is it any surprise that guys like Howard and Harden get all the calls? (Or no-calls?)

Adam Silver: business as usual in the NBA.

Yeah, clutch free throw shooter is definitely not part of Goran's stellar resume.

And the hop, skip and a jump routine he does every time he drives down the lane is ridiculous.

I think you have to re-evaluate your priorities. This unnatural hatred for Frye is quite hilarious.

Why??
I thought Frye did a better job on Dwight than Plumlee, he is who he is. We didnt lose because of Frye.. stupid calls helped the Rockets but they are a better team with a player like Howard.

Which is why I was pushing for the Suns to go and get Gasol. Though it looks like the Lakers were stubborn and wanted the Suns or Wizards pick. (Which I can understand the Suns not wanting to part with.)

Still surprises me how many people were against trying to get him though. The Suns are going to need to have a solid post player once things slow down in the playoffs.

I'd be happy with "washed up" Gasol and his 22/11 last night. I know defensively he is below average at best, but at least he'd force the opposing team to defend him and help open up the offense even more.

I couldn't agree more! The NBA was meant to crack down on flopping but apparently 'star' players are immune to this rule. :mulli:

Some questionable calls at the end notwithstanding, the Suns offense cooled off considerably in the 4th quarter. Dragic carried the team in the first half, then Green took over in the 3rd, but in the 4th both were relatively quiet and no one else stepped up, other than Markieff maybe, but it wasn't enough. The way this team is built, they cannot afford to have no one making jumpers this late in a close game. Lack of inside scoring threat means someone always has to be on.

This is what concerns me about the current Suns. They scored 112 points in a loss and everyone is talking about how to make the offense better.

Over and over we've been complaining on this board about how the Suns need to overhaul their culture, shed the offense-only label, and try to forge a new identity that is centered around being stronger in the playoffs than in the regular season, not weaker. I kept reading about how wonderful it was that this front office was going to be patient and rebuild the right way.

And now here we are half a year later and it's offense, offense, more offense. The rebuild is over, the Suns have forfeited their opportunity for major help in the draft, and we have just the latest run-and-fun roster for a franchise that seems to know nothing else.

If we want to say, hey, the regular season counts too, there's more to the NBA then winning titles, I'm fine with that. But I desperately hope that we won't be repeating this conversation in another six or eight years, because the Groundhog Day effect (RIP Harold Ramis) is getting pretty hard to take. The Suns are apparently content to make the same mistake over and over, but their fan base doesn't have to be.

This game is pretty much what I expect once the playoffs start, which is not good news.

Getting Gasol would be like using Nitrous Oxide in a Ford Truck. You would get a momentary burst, blow the engine and would not have enough money to get what you want for a real upgrade in the summer.

As much as I hate seeing this team lose I don't think they will go out in the First round if they get to playoffs especially if Bledsoe recovers enough by then and hopefully doesn't get another injury.

Gasol would have been an expiring contract although I did not want the Suns go that direction unless it was a straight up trade, Okafor for Gasol.

The Suns were built before the season began. They have played better than anyone thought. They did not forfeit their opportunity to improve via draft or trade with 6 first round draft picks within the next two years unless you thought the Suns should have tanked this season. The Suns plan was not a one season rebuild.

The Suns were down 18, then up 11 and lost by 3. How anyone could be angry about this loss is a mystery wrapped in an enigma in a big bag of riddles.
