After a first round win over Robert Morris on Friday afternoon, the time has now come for the Alabama Crimson Tide to resume play in the 2025 men's NCAA Tournament, facing off against the Saint Mary's Gaels in the round of 32 on Sunday night.

With a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line, Saint Mary's certainly is a challenging opponent for the Crimson Tide, as the Gaels were the WCC conference champions during the regular season, a conference that is also home to Gonzaga.

In addition to that, Saint Mary's also owns an overall record of 29-5, and are coming off a first round victory over the Vanderbilt Commodores by a final score of 59-56.

Here is a look at who every member of our Roll Tide Wire staff has winning the second round NCAA Tournament game between Alabama and Saint Mary's.

Matt's Prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 85, Saint Mary's Gaels 74

Saint Mary's certainly has the potential to give Alabama some problems Sunday night, especially defensively, but the pick here still goes to the Crimson Tide. Expect a bounce-back performance from Alabama, especially on the glass, and for the Crimson Tide to move on to the Sweet 16 next weekend.

Steve's Prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 82, Saint Mary's Gaels 77

This is going to be an absolute battle for Alabama I think. Saint Mary’s is no pushover and in fact, the Gaels have been the ones doing the pushing with their size and tempo all season. If Alabama wins this game and somehow has another deep tournament run in them, Grant Nelson checking in and giving Alabama that much-needed spark and jolt of energy vs. Robert Morris will be one of the things we look back on as having saved Alabama’s season.

Sam's Prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide 83, Saint Mary's Gaels 71

After a bit of a slow start in the opening round, I expect the Tide to find their stride more in the round of 32. Grant Nelson was the difference maker on Friday and hopefully he'll be able to get good minutes on Sunday. Ultimately, Alabama is much more talented and should overpower the Gaels.
