The Alabama Crimson Tide were back in action Sunday night from inside Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, facing off against the Saint Mary's Gaels in the second round of the 2025 men's NCAA Tournament.
A matchup of No. 2 vs. No. 7 seeds, this was certainly a challenging game for the Crimson Tide as well, as the Gaels were one of the nation's top defensive teams.
However, Alabama would pass this test Sunday night, defeating the Gaels by a final score of 80-66 in order to reach the program's third consecutive Sweet 16.

Alabama stepped up defensively Sunday, limiting the Gaels to only 34.3% shooting from the field. The Crimson Tide also held Saint Mary's to only 21.4% shooting from three.
Playing against one of the nation's top teams Sunday when it comes to points allowed per game, Alabama had a strong shooting night offensively where they went a combined 51.8% from the field. Alabama also shot 7-of-17 from three-point range, as well as 15-of-20 at the free throw line.
After struggling on the glass against Robert Morris, Alabama won the rebounding battle Sunday against Saint Mary's a combined 41-36. This included a dominant 33-21 advantage on the defensive glass.
