Watch the replay again, Fitz loses at least a second on chasing down Harrison when he collides with Rolle, who is standing on the sideline not in the game.

If that collision doesn't happen, he gets Harrison.

I kinda doubt I'm ever willingly going to watch replays of this game ever again.

Hard to blame Rolle since he was standing on the sideline. Who else said to themselves "ok, anything but a pic six" before it happened?

Rolle was horrible today.

The first quarter, it looked like the Steelers were trying to find him.

If he is due to make big money next season because of escalators in his rookie contract, then he needs to be dumped.

And he can take Francisco with him.

For the life of me, I don't understand why Pittsburgh didn't pass every down. Rolle looked like he was protecting against 70 yard bombs all day.

He wasn't even challenging the mediocre Pittsburgh receivers.

On the play in question I think Hightower had a bead on Harrison but was blocked in the back missing a sure easy tackle. Officiating sucked hard. That was the game changer.

That runback was spectacular for the steelers, but a real crusher for the cards. I like that Fitz ran it all the way to the end and came so darn close to making the play. How many superstar WR's in the league of his caliber make those kinds of plays? I know one that never would, and he wears the name "Owens" on his cowboys jersey.

Interestingly, Fitz also was running out of bounds, which makes him an ineligible player to come back in bounds and make the tackle. You must stay in the field of play unless pushed out. . . even on a play like that.

Yet the refs didn't call that either. The refs did miss a few, but I guarantee you, they missed calls going both ways, and called ticky-tack calls both ways.

I was wondering about that.

Honest question from a guy who really doesnt give to sh!ts......

Could a player on the sideline have tackled him? Of course there would be a huge penalty, maybe even an untimed play, but.......... They wouldn't have just given the team a TD right?

............

If I was on the sideline...... I might have just sprung out there and took matters into my own hands. I'm just sayin.

That would of probably resulted in the ball being placed at the one yard line or something stupid like that.

Then giving them un untimed play or something or worse yet putting time on the clock and the ball at the one.

Then when they scored you'd have been shot by your own teamates because they would never have thought in their wildest dreams the guy would of scored on that play but he did.

Happened in a college bowl game way back when. Alabama player jumped onto the field to tackle an opposition runner going in for an apparent TD, then jumped back onto the bench. Officials awarded the other team a TD.

Not sure if the NFL has the same rule, but there was an extraordinary events rule for college that allowed them to do that, since in their judgement the ballcarrier would have gone in for a score.

Also, it'd be ****ing terrible sportsmanship.

If he tackles harrison at the 20 coming from out of bounds what will happen. Half the distance? They get 3 instead of 7.

When watching them replay it right after it happened, I was so sick and was thinking the same thing. What if someone just took him down.

What would they have called him for tackling Harrison in the endzone illegally? There were not calls missed both ways look at the overall calls and no calls. Clearly onesided against the Cards unless your a Steeler fan/ troll. Easy, the Steelers needed this win to give there unemployed fan base something to prevent them from rioting over the next few months. There just aren't enough Card fans for it to matter. But do not tell me it was fair officiating. It was horrendous.
