The first pass that he missed the tackle on was ALL on him. If you see too much fault with him on the second pass, you're giving him way too much blame.

I guess what I was trying to say was that after that 1st whiff by Rolle (not the PI) it didn't seem like he's changed much, that's all I was saying.

Its the first preseason game under a new coaching staff. Thats normal.

I'm sorry, but haven't we been told all offseason that the defensive scheme is exactly the same? Even Ron Wolfley said in the pregame tonight that this is the same 4-3 defense we saw last season (the one that was in the 20s in the NFL), only with a 3-4 look.

He got thrown at all of twice in the first preseason game - one of which was one of the worst PI calls I've seen in a while and people are already calling for his head?

Wow

I hear you. You didn't hear his name. He made a few tackles. He played good defense. He missed a tackle. He got JOBBED on a very bad call.

Overall, he played solid in the time he was in. Which wasn't that long. I think he's improved from a piss poor 2006 season. Still a guy to keep an eye on, but the first team CBs looked solid tonight.

Wow did I say that? No...I don't think so , so don't put words in my mouth. Wether he slipped or got burned, the reciever got passed him and made him look bad. If you are happy with the then more power to ya but he did not look good tonight

If he was sucking out there, they would have been throwing to his man a lot. Remember last season in oakland? That's what happened then.

The fact that he didn't see balls thrown his way means he was doing his effing job, which is a lot more than he did last year.

Same here he had a terrible call aginst him. I think I did see him miss a tackle he should have made but did not get many attempts in pass coverage. When I was in Flag he was making plays in the passing drills. I still have a lot of hope for Rolle.

When looking at Rolle, I see ok coverage skills. His run support looks great and he tackles hard. What I see is a free safety that could be quite good or an average CB. I say, give him a year at FS and the next year he will be a probowler.
