I just watched the last six minutes of the game again.

Wow! It's just as exciting watching it the 2nd time!

A couple of things about the last two drives stand out.

With about 5 min left, on a 4th and 6, McCown hit Quan on a crossing route with two Viking defenders in hot pursuit. they were on Q almost immediately after he caught the ball, when he was about two yards short of the marker.

He sold out. Gave up his body and reached the ball for the marker like it would save his moms life. You gotta love this guy. the passion, the will to win, the talent.

With less than two minutes left, on 4th and 1 near the goal line, McCown took the snap and rolled out to his right. The Viking defenders had it well defended, and were quickly stringing it out. McCown appeared like he was going to cut upfield, and dive for the endzone. Three Vike defenders converged on the spot were Josh was moving to just a split second before, to finish McCown and the game.

But McCown was too fast! He shot back away from the endzone and toward the sideline. His fake bought him the time that he needed to see Bush crossing 4 yards deep in the end zone, wide, wide open. McCown got it to him with inches to spare. A great play, not a good one by McCown.

Then the onside kick. Then an obvious pass interference call against Walker from the Vikes. The whole stadium was screaming for the flag because it was so blatant!

The cards get to 2nd down on about the five, then a sack, and they have to use their last timeout with about 27 seconds left. Then, another sack! and McCown fumbles for the fouth time of the game! But Wells was right there! Then Emmitt is tying to help Wells up to his feet, the clock is at about 15 seconds and the cardinals aren't even close to being set!

Then, the play of a lifetime.

The Cardinals hustle up to the line and, with two or three seconds left, Josh takes the snap. He fades back in the pocket, and looks down field for a couple of seconds but doesn't see anyone open. Then hes flushed out of the pocket, scrambling to his right. Everybody's either screaming at the top of their lungs or holding their breath.

Josh changes direction slightly, turning upfield as his eyes lock in on Poole, he points to Poole, winds up (like a pitcher) and throws it with everything he's got and throws a freaking frozen rope shooting across sun devil field right to the spot where only Poole had a chance to catch it. And man, Poole grabbed on to that ball like it was his last chance in the NFL. Two Viking defenders shoved him out of bounds hard, but he hung on.

What really made the play was the sack on the play before it. The cardinals were running around trying to get into position as the final seconds of the season were ticking away. Everyone was yelling and screaming. The Cardinals had one last chance to redeem themselves for a miserable season. The odds of a touchdown on 4th and 25 after the last two plays had been an absolute train wreck had to be about 8,000 - 1. But they pulled it off. Folks, thats a play that we'll remember and talk about for the next twenty years. Not a bad call by Romonowski.

Steve Bush clearly pushed off on that TD catch. Oh well, a break for the Cardinals once in a while!

Recievers push off All the time and don't get called for it. Except for Anquan earlier in the year when he got called like 2 or 3 times. It's really unfair to DB's cuz if they push the reciever they get called for it but rarely do recievers get called for pushing off. Same with holding--and refs can pick and choose when or when not to call it.

I don't remember for sure if it was the Cards game, or one of the earlier ones, that on a play in the endzone where the receiver "pushed off" like that and got called for it, they said.....

"If the refs always called that.....Michael Irvin would have never scored a fraction of the TD's he did."
