Room in Tampa

Fellow ASFN'ers,

I finally secured a couple of tickets to the Super Bowl. I am coming in Saturday night and leaving Tuesday. I have a room in Orlando (where we are flying in/out of) for Sat night and Monday night.

My problem is a place to stay in Tampa on Feb 1st. Rooms are available but they want 1000/night or more. Anyone have any suggestions? Would like to stay close to the stadium to celebrate after the Cards victory, but it doesnt look likely.

look in Lakeland - 45 min drive to Tampa rather than 1.5 hrs from Orlando

I'm staying in St Pete across the bridge approx 13 miles from the Stadium. $169.99 a night, its right near the St Pete airport.

we are in lakeland at the LaQuinta East. Lots of people on the "other board" are as well.
