He's not a leader he's a me person, most definitely not NFL starting QB material
That may or may not be true but do you really want to argue that line of thought with Leinart as the antithesis?
Quinn on the other hand hasn't shown diddley!
I'm still unsure about Quinn but 300+ yards, 4 TD/0 INT, even if it was against the Lions, is still showing more than "diddly".
I've always liked Lienart and there is no telling what would have happened if he remained the starter all along without the injury.
As I said when the great debate of '08 was going on, Warner starting and Leinart sitting/waiting would be best for the Cardinals and best for Leinart. He will be much better served by inheriting the two tight-end, thunder & lightning, relatively balanced offense that the Cardinals have developed into.
While they may have gone to that type of approach much earlier had Leinart won the job, I don't feel they had the personnel to be successful with it at that time and by extension, would not have had the success that has helped this franchise's confidence. I can imagine a 6-10 type of scenario with Leinart learning on the job and that situation would not have Whis in the position of power that he is now. The players buy into what he's doing and I think his authority in the organization is much more than it would have been otherwise. Even allowing for a honeymoon period with a young QB.
