Irrelevance Sucks :(
This is kinda silly, but I am here to convince you to root for the Magic going forward, due to PHX laying an absolute turd and killing their chances today vs the Mavs.
I have lived in Orlando as a Suns fan for 15 yrs, I never liked the Magic that much, while I have been zealous about the Suns. But the Magic have become a very entertaining and likable team that has a real chance to contend.
Point A - The Magic have a great star, the rare dominant center who wows you every single game with his athleticism, throws up 20/20s with 5 blocks on the regular, and has a great attitude and goofy grin. The rest of the team is hard to dislike as well - Turkoglu is cool, Lewis seems very chill, Jameer is a great guy etc.
Point B - Stan van Gundy. Great sound bites. Similar to Dantoni in that he's entertaining as hell to watch during a game, he goes the entire range of emotions, and makes some of the great pained expressions in the league. He also is a non athlete that looks like Ron Jeremy.
Point C - The Magic have the capability of beating one of many hated Western teams if they make the Finals. Imagine the Lakers, Mavs, or Spurs getting beat by upstart Orlando and hanging their heads. Particularly Kobe once again failing to win a title sans Shaq would be delicious.
I know this is out of left field, I am just trying to forget all about the Suns for a while, I think that's best.
