The boy from Holywood, Northern Ireland, once dreamed of doing what Rory McIlroy accomplished Sunday.

The 35-year-old won the 2025 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club, earning his fifth major title and first green jacket, completing the career grand slam in the process. It was an emotional, overwhelming victory for McIlroy, who earned his 29th PGA Tour win and fifth major title after his latest triumph.

On Monday, McIlroy shared his first message on social media since winning in a playoff Sunday night, and it was a simple one:

McIlroy is the first golfer since Tiger Woods in 2000 to complete the career grand slam, and he did it by earning his first major title in 11 years at the Masters.

The next major? The PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, a course McIlroy has won at four times, including last year.
