If you are watching the game---I'd be interested to see what you think about Wilson (Wisconsin Sr.---NC State transfer).

I really can't see the cards bringing in a new QB with what they have invested in Kolb and the flashes we saw from Skelton, we have our 1,2. I don't see the Cards using a pick to bring in a #3. Bartel knows the offense and is more than adequate as #3

Wilson is also property of the Colorado Rockies. He could go to the MLB

The guy from Houston is better. Plus QB is such a crap shoot. Dalton is money and no one had him being this good. Matt Flynn was a horrible QB at LSU..Dude threw like 15 passes a game. Brady barely got drafted and yet 6 number 1 or 2 picks in the draft in last 15 years are out of the league. Go figure.

That's one reason some teams take a late round flyer on a QB each draft. I don't think the Cards really have that luxury though, especially already being down the 2nd round pick.

BTW, was Max Hall cut or just IR?

I've caught a couple of his games this season. Wilson is crazy talented, but he's probably too small.

Im not all that concerned about our QB3 after all if we get to the point where we need to use hm the season is scrapped anyway. Id rather see us use our picks on other positions

Just think he could have been the starter for the Longhorns the last two seasons. :(

In principle I disagree. First off we have 2 QB's with potential and then there is Bartel, why not bring someone in who has potential to be a starter instead of an almost certain career back up.

I'm not advocating drafting a QB just to say we did or make some quota but if there is a potentail Cassel or Flynn or Brady or... sitting there in Rd 5 or later then go for it.

If I'm understanding what you are saying then Bartel is just a body and if we have to start him we are screwed so why wouldn't we try to upgrade him.

with kolb in the roster a qb3 can easily become a qb2

Montee Ball in the 3rd/4th Round would be a good value pick.

Wilson reminds me of Troy Smith before he discovered In and Out Burger prior to the NC Championship game.

Wilson strikes me as the loophole king. College amateur plays baseball for money during the summer. Transfers to Wisconsin via another loophole for his senior year. Not as if he left a dog school in NC State, but rather to a top ten school for whatever incentive.

For Wilson, though, the short-term pride of finishing a career with a legitimate contender loses a bit of its luster next to the potential consequences for his long-term prospects as a pro baseball player. At the moment, Wilson is hitting a paltry .228 with a team-high 82 strikeouts for the Asheville Tourists, a Single-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, and the club has already made it abundantly clear that it doesn't want a fourth-round draft pick — especially one with dim NFL prospects, at best — banging around a football field this fall.

Assuming he actually intends to play, and not stand on the sidelines soaking up the atmosphere, Wilson will have to cut his baseball season short to enroll in school, learn the offense, develop some kind of rapport with his new teammates and fulfill all of the other duties that come with being a Division I quarterback. According to the Rockies, he'll also have to cough up "a significant portion" of the $250,000 signing bonus he was paid last year for leaving the team before the end of the season.

I always thought that if a big time College Booster wanted to legitimately stack a college team they could just start an independent minor league baseball team and then sign their schools top football prospects to a baseball contract. It would be chump change for someone like Boone Pickens.
