you misspelled shyster.

and btw, just in case you didn't realize it, that word is a DOUBLE insult to some. again, it doesn't really bother me, but it would do you well to know it's origin.

i believe the word shyster stems from shakespeare's character shylock. he's a money lending jew who wanted to exact a pound of flesh for one of his debts. it's a degrading role to jews. so using it to degrade attorneys really hits home in two areas for me.
I am familiar with the origins. Just an off color joke.

On sundays I do not root for lawyers

thank god. but know that it's highly likely that somewhere there's an attorney that is likely working for you on a sunday, even if it's in a tangential relationship.

y'know, you could always root for me on sundays. i could use the support.

I liked the "do I not bleed" speech in that. But yeah, those Elizabethans were harsh of the Hebrews.

no, I do not have a lawyer working for me on Sunday and if they are they are doing a very poor job unless somewhere they are somehow working against me LOL

but I tell you what Ouchie, the next time I see a player get the crap knocked out
of him and I find myself saying "ouch"...I will think of you :)

I do not have a problem with agents/attorneys representing players but Rosenhaus in my opinion only adds fuel to the fire with the cliche that all lawyers are bad

So, just for the sake of message board posting, would Rosenhaus keep up his "schtick" if none of his clients wanted him to do it?

I do not like Rosenhaus and personally no longer care about Q because he hired him and allows him to act accordingly, I'm tired of both of them. There are agents out there that play hardball but do not even come close to making everyone around them who associates with the team feel like crap. Rosenhaus has a way of making it more than just business but uses tactics with his clients which seem to come across as personal to those who support the team...such as walking out during a celebration, not wearing a jersey...these are public messages thrown out that hurt the fans who support the team because it lacks respect. Now one can say it was all Boldin, but such behavior seems to be the status quo of Rosenhaus clients and it is not unfair to think he is part of this behavior. If you want a new contract or be traded, fine but keep the actions and words directed to the frontoffice. If you want to sit out games or camp, fine but do not do things which the fans identify with and spill over past a problem with the FO such as not wearing a jersey during a fan fest or not celebrating...these are actions the fans partake in and it is insulting when a player starts shooting his disgust in all directions, especially at the fans.

I don't know if he has every passed the bar but he graduated from The Duke University School of Law in 1990. He was already registered as an agent in 1989. His brother Jason, who is the Vice-President of Rosenhaus Sports, became a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar in 1996.
