Leaves a slot open on PS, either bringing in another tryout player or making room to push someone down from the roster for that new pass rusher :)

Kerwynn Williams looked pretty good last year, and this year after watching the other backs we have in the backfield, he looks slow, and small.

Nothing against Williams but the current running back unit is that much better than last year.

I've never got the Williams love, he's ok but nothing special and he doesn't do much on ST.

We have arguably the fastest group of RB's in the nFL right now. When we get Ellington back him, and the Johnson boys can all fly.

I think it's pretty clear why Arians doesn't love Stepfan Taylor, he likes RB's with take it to the house speed. Taylor is good on ST and short yardage so he keeps him, but he doesn't play him at RB because he wants speed.

I have to give the man credit, he made up his mind what he wanted and got it, in threes.

I really liked Mike Gillislee coming out... all he did was produce in college :)
I agree. I made numerous posts about wanting the Cards to take him. He did get injured his first year in the league but hopefully he's back healthy. He must be, otherwise the Cards wouldn't sign him.

That still leaves a slot open since they cut 2, so it's probably Kerwynn (who did well on ST, but is obviously no Kulabafi :)

He made the first block to make room for David Johnson
I will just Cut sowell
if he play the only Thing he can offer is Palmer injury

What's not to like. He ran over 100 yrds his first start last year and did well again the next game. He is a good rb and hope he makes it back on the PS.

I think you're spot-on. But the other thing that Taylor does well is catch the ball out of the backfield. Arians snuck David Johnson past the Saints on that 55-yarder to lock up the game, but between that and what he's done since, he's not going to easily sneak up on anybody now.. in fact I suspect he'll see a lot more carries out of the backfield this weekend.

What we CAN expect to see, at some very important point in a big game, is Taylor being brought in on 3rd down, looking like another blocker on an obvious passing play, but sneaking out on a wheel route and beating everybody for the game-winning TD. It's coming, I can smell it!

True enough, he was good in that game against KC last year.

He never had any one great athletic trait in college but what I really liked was he had some of the best vision of the field for a back in a long time coming out of college... he could feel the flow of a play and capitalize

Kerwynn had 3 good games last year and they were basically the games where he actually got carries. His only bad game was the playoff game where we had no offense & they could just stack the box because Lindley could barely complete a pass.

Sun 12/7 vs KC - 19 carries, 100 yards, 5.3 ypc, long of 16 yards
Thu 12/11 @STL - 15 carries, 75 yards, 5.0 ypc, long of 19 yards
Sun 12/28 @SF - 17 carries, 67 yards, 3.9 ypc, long of 11 yards

@SF is impressive because they had a solid run D & we had no passing offense with Lindley @ QB

Is he a bruiser or is he a speed guy?

I am willing to bet KW will be picked up by someone. There are so many RB injuries out there right now. If not, hope to get him back to the practice squad

I think vision is a very important trait, right behind speed, for a RB to have. He has decent size and ran a 4.48 at the combine so he's not slow either. He was at/near the top of my list for RB's his draft year. He played against some good defenses in college and was about the best player on the field every game.
