I don't want to play the Warriors. Rather play Utah. Better matchups for us.

i think if any team can tie it yp at 2-2 going into home, its the warriors. i think they can even it up. they always say its never in question until someone loses a game at home.

putting the cart before the horse there aren't optimus skkorp? That being said, I'd rather see the warriors get knocked out. I have a feelign they DESTROY Utah in the next two games in Oak-town.

I'm not sure who would be easier for the Suns. AK is actually playing good ball, after a disappointing season, and Williams looks like a pretty good player. On the other hand, the Jazz did not so much beat the Warriors as survived in games the Warriors should have won.

In general, it looked like the Warriors decision making was much worse than in the Mavs series. They took a lot of bad shots with time on the clock and it finally caught up with them.

I realize Nelson has worked wonders late this year but I think he's blowing this series by overplaying key starters, in particular Baron Davis. Baron himself admitted he was flat exhausted with 3 minutes left in regulation, he took a charge on Boozer and said "that was it, I was done." He fought through it but was there any doubt at all who would win in OT?

I know Monta hasn't played well but he hasn't played that badly and Nelson is destroying his confidence by burying him on the bench now. ALso think Jackson and Richardson are playing too many minutes.

It's tough he's got to play his best players, but there's a reason they've come up short late in the first 2 games and I think it's fatigue.

My thoughts on the series:
  1. Deron Williams is a stud.
  2. Cleveland must be feeling really stupid about letting Boozer get away.
  3. The Warriors are entertaining and dangerous, but if they ran into San Antonio or Detroit, they'd be swept.
  4. Mr. Okur would look pretty nice on the Suns. I, for one, really wanted the Suns to pursue him a few years back.
  5. Baron Davis is really, really good - if only the guy could stay healthy for 100 games at a time.
  6. My heart goes out to Derek Fisher - that guy is going through hell right now. It was nice to see Davis and other Warriors pull him aside and show some support when he came into the game in the third quarter.

Deron Williams was taken 3rd in the 2005, one slot ahead of Chris Paul. I was more impressed with him than Paul while in college, but it took him a season to figure out how to play in the NBA.

Cleveland got "taken" when they accepted a promise by Boozer who then broke his word. They weren't stupid, just naive.

The Warriors could have won both games in Salt Lake City. This is a very dangerous team and I'd never underestimate them. Still, their general inexperience certainly hurts them.

The Suns gave up on Okur once it became clear he was out of their price range. To afford Okur, the Suns would not have enough money for Nash.

Baron Davis has been a hidden gem for a long time, since his career has been riddled with injuries. He took his team to the playoffs while with the Hornets, but never had much of a supporting cast.

Fisher's story is like out of the movies. I can't remember a guy coming to the arena in street clothes in the second half and then being decisive in bringing his team victory. The pathos as to why he was gone just adds to the drama.

Fisher is a great guy too, so I'm glad his daughter is apparently going to be ok and while I wish the Warriors had won, it was nice to see Fisher come out ok.

The Warriors had to get rid of him his contract was too big for a bad team, but he was a great guy on the team. He was very helpful for young guys like Ellis and Pietrus, you can see how much they respect him now.

THe problem with the Boozer deal was it was against league rules to have a binding agreement, so Boozer simply snowed Cleveland into trusting he'd keep his word if they kept theirs. They let him go RFA, and then he signed a huge offer they couldn't match. Since it was rumored many other teams had similar deals with guys verbal to skirt the rule, it wasn't like Cleveland took a risk others didn't, Boozer just wasn't up front with them.

If you were familar with his recruitment out of HS, it wouldnt' surprise you.

BTW, Nelson must read this board. He announced yesterday that he's going to play Monta Ellis more because he realized in hindsight that he's wearing Baron out and it's killing them at the end of the games.

He basically said Monta's confidence is very low, I don't know why, but he's got to play more and play better for us to win.

I just hope Monta steps up now, had a great regular season it's time to get out of the funk and have a big game!

Or maybe he just listened to Baron. After the game he said when he hit the floor right before the end of regulation he knew he just didn't have any more in him -- he was done -- and he's no quitter. I really hope GS can take the next two at home.

I don't know what happened to Ellis in the playoffs. He was so good up to the end of the regular season and then got into the "deer in the headlights" thing.

I saw enough of the Jazz in the regular season to not want any part of them in the post-season. The Jazz were right up there with the Spurs among teams I did not want the Suns to face. Deron Williams is Nash's worst nightmare, I think.

You're suggesting my posts here have no power?

Sort of ironic after all the backlash against Boozer lying his way out of Cleveland how he's become the dominant Jazz player in this series.

it'll never happen but can you imagine a Cavs/Jazz NBA finals? Man would Boozer get reamed in Cleveland.

I said this in another thread, but KJ over hakeem has some competition, because that dunk by Baron over Kirilenko was just as good!

Not as good, Olajuwon >>>>>>>> Kirilenko.

Obviously, but Kirilenko has been a beast with the blocks in this series. Everytime J-Rich, Baron, etc... have come in, and he's there, he's either blocked it or altered it.

That was a sick dunk, Kirilenko's arm was in position to block it, and davis just elevated right over it.

That was a pretty impressive dunk, but like a lot of dunks like that it was an offensive foul. He uses his off arm to smack AK47 in the face and shove him off so he cant block it.
