Did you hear what Grace just said? Since Conor Jackson sat on his frickin butt more than 45 days last year, he's not eligible for ROY! I thought September didn't count, that it was only during the 25-man-roster part of the season in which case he might still qualify, I think, but not if Grace is correct. Someone, please, tell me he's wrong.

If :barf: and Clarabell brought him up and WASTED a ROY shot, they should both be tarred and feathered.

In which case, bring Carlos Quentin up NOW so he'll have a shot, and let's vote CJ for an all-star slot when the time comes.

OK -- I just looked it up, and it ONLY counts during the 25-man roster period; after Sept 1 the 45-days rule doesn't matter, although the at-bats would, it seems -- but he wasn't near the at-bat limit.

So his status as a top ROY possibility is apparently still intact. PHEW. I was afraid I was going to have to pull out my 'Gallows-building and Effigy-crafting for Dummies' book.

Yeah because it doesn't matter what happens with their personal development as long as they win the ROY

Luckily the Dbacks will have plenty of opportunities for ROY coming up here in the next year or so.

Certainly will. You guys have quite a few good young guys almost ready. If all of these guys come together and perform well at the same time, and gel well with the veterans on the team, 3-5 years from now the DBacks will be an elite team, IMO.
