I remember the good old days when I used to get annoyed at product placements for flashing on the screen for a few seconds. Like a logo or something. Now? This has gotten ridiculous. Basically mini-commercials in the middle of my shows.

It's awful and awkward. At least using the more subtle method you could make it somewhat organic. In real life I might drink a Coke. So having a character drink a Coke is not a big deal.

Now? I can expect that character to say..."Wow. This Coke. I never realized that things go better with coke" or something like that.

In Spanish soap operas (telenovelas) product placements are every where. They can't have scene in the kitchen without bags of chips and salsa conveniently nearby
