Don't you know? That's as good as gospel sometimes on this board. :D

Touche! :D

Just to clarify my view though, I think it's lame for ANY player to refuse to play for the team that drafted them. The guys don't HAVE to live in that city if they don't want to, they make more then enough to buy a house in the state of their choice and maintain a smaller rental place in the city they play in. Not really practical if you want to live in CA and you play for the Knicks, but still a lot of players do it. When you make $10Mil+ a year there really is no excuse.

The Wizards and Timberwolves have agreed in principle to a trade involving Washington's No. 5 pick in the draft, a league source told SI.com on Tuesday.

The Wizards would receive Randy Foye and Mike Miller while the Timberwolves would get the No. 5 pick, Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila and Oleksiy Pecherov.

This is part of the #5 Rubio pick decision. They got rid of 2 high salaries and picked up some front line players. Now they don't have guards.

Agreed. That's why I always root against Eli Manning. I'm not a Chargers fan (though they DID make out ok on the deal after all...not the point) but that kind of crap in which a player thinks he's bigger than the game itself really ticks me off.

John Elway

John Elway, who also starred in baseball at Stanford, was drafted by both the Baltimore Colts and the New York Yankees in 1983. The Colts made John Elway the first player picked in the 1983 NFL draft, but John stunned the football world by refusing to play for Baltimore. The Colts traded their rights to John to the Denver Broncos, who promptly signed him to a 6-year contract worth $12.7 million.

I feel really bad for Rubio if this happens. There is nothing like molding a young player into a player that doesn't care about defense. For Rubio's sake I hope he goes to a coach and team that is well balanced on both sides of the ball.
