The question is also, what would we do with 2 extra 2nd rounders? I say snag up Gerhart and a TE (maybe Gronkowski?) to add more punishment to our offense. The rest of the draft can be dedicated solely to defense at that point.

Why would you draft a WR so high? Or are you just thinking BPA?

Planning for the furture. Breaston is a free agent after this year. Not to mention that Ford has looked solid in mobile this week. Haven't you noticed I always pick a WR in rnd 2 of my mock drafts. Couple that with trading Boldin and you can never have too many.

Banking a lot on Cody Brown and Will Davis, huh?

I would ask Q what he wanted us to do. He could play another year under his current deal with some bonus $ and talk about an extension after, or he could move on now. The man has earned that much IMO. 2 2nd round picks is a great value (for us) for what he brings on the field right now, but this guy has easily been one of the greatest Cardinals of all time IMO and should be treated as such.

Agreed.

Only if it is there top two 2nd round picks.....but even then I would try to keep him in the desert.

And I now even think about this because of Warner retiring......but still Boldin would help out Leinart a lot.

Does Boldin really help out Lienart? Boldin doesn't generate a lot of separation. Lienart doesn't have the pinpoint accuracy that Warner has. Lienart would be better servered with another WR who is difficult to cover. Hence why I projected we draft Jacoby Ford if we trade Boldin. Of course Ford is only 5'8" so at least Lienart will have an excuse if he over throws him.
