The Lakers have nothing to offer, it’s a non starter.

Lakers are not getting Lillard.

Only big star I could see the Lakers landing is Westbrook, his value has tanked and the Wizards might look to move him to keep Beal happy.

Three way trade:

Phx gets Dame Lillard
LAL get Chris Paul on a S&T
Portland gets Anthony Davis

Throw in the necessary change to balance out the trade.

Why would the Lakers do that trade? For the Lakers, acquiring CP3 makes sense only to pair with Lebron AND AD.

I don't remember saying contenders.
Helping them now, we are both contenders. Helping them then, we were not. There’s no comparing the two situations other than the names on the jerseys are the same and the ownership was the same. The operative facts of the present makes the past example you used inapplicable.

For the record, this is my original comment:

The Suns released Tyson Chandler to go to the Lakers and even traded Steve Nash to them. Just saying.

This team is a lottery team either way if those are the choices.

Stop with the lottery BS. You know thats crap.

Do you want me to dig up your early season posts on how Rubio was better than CP3?

he averaged a triple double again this year and by all account him and Beal really get along and they really like him in washington

If CP3 somehow forced this to happen, he’d instantly go from one of my favorite Suns ever to my most loathed.

Not me. I will always be thankful for how he changed this franchise this year.

Will I be upset? Absolutely but this is a lot different than McDyess

Right, as examples why it wouldn’t far fetched for the suns to trade Paul to the lakers. Which a bunch of us are telling is a bad example bc the facts are so different.

The difference is, I'm talking about history.

It is not preposterous the Suns helping the Lakers because they have done it before.

I ended the sentence with "just saying" or for the record.

So we're at the point of the off-season where trade offers come from the likes of George Castanza?

"Ok boss i can trade for the allstar team without giving up anything"

It’s preposterous in the current circumstances. That’s everyone’s point. History doesn’t help make it less preposterous in the current circumstances.

This is typical Laker nonsense. Even if Paul wants to go there, they have nothing to offer of value in return. Let Paul sign for the MLE if he wants to be there that badly. We're not obligated to help him when letting him walk helps us more than taking on anything the Lakers could offer.

I entered it into the record. You can move to get it thrown out of history.

But you are ignoring context.
