Just read this on PFT (I know its respect level here, but they did get that Starks thing right):

JACKSON BUSTS WRIST AT WORKOUT

A league source tells us that Michigan cornerback Marlin Jackson, projected by many as a potential first-round draft pick, likely will now see his stock plummet after suffering a broken wrist during his Pro Day workout.

Jackson, we're told, was backpedaling and turning after a deep ball. The throw was poor, and he had to adjust for the ball and fell after he caught it, landing awkwardly on his wrist. Jackson said, we hear, that he felt something "pop" when he hit the ground.

Jackson could potentially fall out of the first day of the draft, depending on the severity of the injury.

Maybe he falls to our #2? I remember some being fairly high on this guy.

a broken wrist for a cb? big deal. it's prolly not career-threatening. if so, he doesn't drop at all in my estimation.

Agreed...unless it is some horrific disfiguring injury that causes all of his carpal bones to be fused together and eliminates any sort of movement sideways or in a circular fashion...

LOL.

He will not drop at all. :stupid:

I think he's a mid to late 2nd rd draft pick anyway. I doubt this injury will effect his draft status.

If we got a running back before the draft I would take Rolle in Round 1 and Jackson in Round 2. Imagine 2 corners with 4.5 speed and over six feet tall starting with Adrian Wilson, pretty nice dream.

Let's see how severe it is. If he drop to the 3rd we should be all over him Jackson is a CB/FS tweener. He could serve as a nickel- or dimeback while being groomed to be our starting FS for the future.

Depends on what type of break it was. If it's a broken navicular ( I think I spelled that right), they can be really slow healing, needing a graft or pins to facilitate the knitting. This could really bother him on jamming receivers. It also can cause some loss of strength in the hand and forearm, again, hindering his ability in hand to hand combat and tackling.

It may not cause a great drop in draft status, but could make some teams that are looking for immediate contributions take a step back. A guy with a bad wrist isn't going to be setting the world on fire on special teams either.

The bone will heal fast. But it could be mentally damaging if it is his "Master" wrist... :barf:

Just reported that Jackson's x-rays came back negative. No break, just a sprain. The wrist will be in a splint for 1 to 2 weeks and he'll be fine.

We will be lucky to get him in the second then ... To bad we don't have Tampa Bay's pick in the second

Wrist is fine. Negative for fracture

Marlin is fine. He stock unfortunately will rise. He ran two sub 4.5 40's. I'm a premium member on the Rivals wolverine site and Coach Carr said no significant injury.

That's because people in Michigan can only count to 5.

And Clarett proved that people in Ohio can count into the thousands.

Especially if they were counting up all the yards he gained his freshman year.
