I find it very hard to believe that the C's would be targeting Kobe with this team's history of purging players with questionable character. The team basically has an unwritten zero tollerence rule on the books and their history has shown they move swiftly in dealing with these matters and in some cases have a "guilty until proven innocent" policy*.

So bringing in a player who has openly cheated on his spouse and then lied about it, then possibly sexually assulted someone is either a completely false assumption or it shows that the C's are going to relax their stance on these matters in order to be competitive in this league.

I know Kobe hasn't been found guilty of anything and I highly doubt he will be, with the history of this country convicting accused sports stars (Save Rae Carruth).

Wether he cheated on his wife or not isn't the question. Nobody should care about that other than his wife and him.

The only question is if he is guilty of raping the girl or not.

If you don't want a NBA player because he cheated on his wife or maybe just his girlfriend that really really cuts down the pool of available players.

It is something that just happens to a lot lot of people wether they admit it or not doesn't matter.

I also don't believe that Kidd was traded because he beat his wife. He was just not getting it done on the court. We were talking about Bibby/Sar for Kidd way before the incident already.

The cheating is none of my business...the trouble I have is when the story first broke his LIED about it. I agree that that is all between him and his wife, but it shows the type of person he is to come out and say nothing happend.......then when it looks like he could get into trouble he comes clean.

I don't think you can judge that unless you know Kobe personally.

He sure has a lot of lawyers and agents behind him giving him advise on what to say.

Technically, he didn't lie about it. He just said he never raped her. Everyone kinda of assumed that meant he was saying he didn't sleep with her.

So he didn't tell the full truth, but he didn't lie

Cheating on your spouse is a clue to a persons character IMO

He told the police that he did not know her at all when he was first asked about her. Then he said he did meet her. Then he said she gave him a tour of the place. Then he said he had consensual sex with her.

According to the police report - HE LIED.

If you honestly think only the players who get caught cheating are the ones who do it.you are naive.

Same thing about players smoking weed. Oakly once said he thinks something like 70% smoke weed at least once a year. He is most likely over exagerating, but I would easily say half do.

My bad BIM, I was misinformed/forgot

Still, whether you get caught or not is not the point. If someone cheats on their spouse it reveals their character.

Thats my point. I just happen to think A LOT of players cheat on their wives. Who knows how many players on this team are unfaithful

Robinson or Kidd didn't have the skills to score 50 in any given night did they?

I am failing to see the correlation on this one

He's saying, people will overlook a lot if you can score 50 points?

Considering the Suns reluctance to deal with "problem" players following the drug fiasco of the late '80's, I see no chance of them going for Kolbe. But he will have no problem finding work if he is not in jail.

I think, if the Suns have the cap room, the C's would have to go after Kobe, or at least attempt to. No question, the fans are going to go away in droves now, but if they have room and don't even try to get Kobe Bryant, this team will get zero support.

Let's say he is found not guilty, and the C's are interested. How can we create extra cap space to sign him?

They would have to move Marion, they were talking about this same point on the radio today.

Dump Jahidi on Utah.

Eisley would be too hard to move especially since he was just traded.

Or try to talk Charlotte Bobcats into taking either White or Eisley.

Those guys are ********. I am by no means a reliable source on basketball players, or the cap, but I make these guys look like a bunch of drunk goats.

This trade has too many future ramification to see the complete picture.

I think Kobe would play here. Especially, for D'Antoni. Rumors (legend) swirls that Kobe wears the #8 in honor of D'Antoni.

Kobe and Amare has a nice ring to it. And, it's something that I think can be successful for many years.

JC gets what he wants (except David Wells). It's a fact PHX had Kobe on the board when Charlotte selected him with the 13th pick. They wanted him, but had to settle for Steve Nash. The rest is history.

If Kobe does end up in PHX (and not jail), the rivalry between PHX/LA will become one of the most bitter in all of sports.
