Warmack is still the best player in the draft.

Maybe Cooper turns out just as good. And they play the same position. And Cooper moves better. Just as strong.

There are plenty of impact players. Warmack is one of the top 10 players at a position that traditionally never goes top 5. But he's viable where we sit or anywhere thereafter because he's the safest pick probably. So is Eric Fisher, because of his pass blocking, excellent feet. Great length, quickness (quicker than Joekel) and has the aptitude to excel and quickly. He also is a LT in the 3rd and long vital NFL. Franchise LT > Franchise LG in the NFL.

If Warmack falls it won't have anything to do with him. It will simply be that there are so many good looking OG/Cs that can be had in rounds 2 and 3, and that isn't counting the supposed OTs who might be converted to play inside.

I have been crazy about Warmack for weeks now, but am having second thoughts now about taking a OG with our 1st pick. One of the stud OTs makes more sense now, or even simply bpa at DT or DE. There seems to be at least 3 OTs that will be good starters at LT who are worthy of a top 10 pick.

This is a great year no matter what your system calls for, for having a top 10 pick for OT, DT or DE. It is also a good year for picking a good OG and C in rounds 2 and 3. We could get a starting OG and C with our 2nd and 3rd round picks.

I now feel value wise we really should use our top pick for an OT, DE, or LB. Any other position will be a unnecessary reach for a position we can improve just as easily in round 2 and 3.

Positions that don't warrant a top 10 pick this year - S, CB, QB, RB, WR, OG, C. either because no player is worthy of so high a pick or the difference in what you can get in rounds 2 or 3 is not that much different from the proposed round 1 players at that position.

What a fantastic draft this is for being able to trade back and pick up another 2nd rounder.

Armstead has made himself a ton of money this weekend.
What really impressed me was that, not only did he demonstrate speed with a sick forty time and explosion with an equally gaudy ten-yard split, but he also shows how strong he is by pumping out 31 reps.

Knile Davis pressed 31 times and ran a 4.37 (though NFLN which seems to be more accurate then the official times this year originally listed him at 4.30). That's pretty nice for a RB. Though workout warriors aren't necessarily good football players, and he's injury prone which is the last thing we need from a RB. But intriguing nonetheless.
