Damien Anderson may have just secured a roster spot for himself...Also..they are going to have to consider this Rue guy..at practic squad or something. I have no idea if he can run or catch..but he can block.

As poor as the running game looked in the 1st half, it looked pretty impressive in the 2nd, but ,then again, that was due almost exclusively to Anderson. Have to agree that he probably assured himself of making the team during the half.

Were the problems in the first half due to the O-line? There didn't look to be too many holes to run through.

Anderson is clearly the #3 back after this game! Liked him ever since the Carolina game last year.

Yes they didnt play well, and Kendall got beat like he stole something on a few occasions. Now, all of a sudden, I am concerned about the Center position. ugggghhhh:confused:

Just put Starkey back at center and move Kendall to his natural guard position. I think Starkey did decent last year. But, I don't think this is going to happen.

If you believe Mac when he says that this is the time to find out who steps up and makes plays, Anderson figures to have a huge leg up now.

But if we plan to keep a 4th RB, it's hard to compare Scobey's production behind our #1 line vs. SD's 1st unit and Prentice operating behind our backup unit against their backup unit.

The only possible clue to which way the Cards will go might be that they took a long look at Prentice in one or two goal line and "tough it out" short-yardage situations - either because (a) they want to see if he can be our short yardage back or (b) they already plan to make him our short yardage back.

The running game was not as impressive in the first half because Scobey and Prentice were running. Smith, Shipp and Anderson would have done better.

Will we get Leonard back for the Bear game? If so, that should help.

What kind of blocking schemes were we using in the Bolts game? Were we trying to go plain vanilla to see what these backs could do on their own? We made it clear we would not pass much. so the Chargers knew we were playing run. In a real game things would be much different.
