Everyone talks about the Cardinals needing a pass rush which is true, but John Madden always says that you have to be able to stop the run first on defense. The Cardinals gave up 134 rushing yards a game, the 3rd worst in the NFL. Can Suggs help improve the Cardinals rushing defense which I think needs more help than the pass defense?

I agree that if you can stop the run 1st it will help the pass d as well. B/c when A team is looking at 3 rd and long your CB's can cheat when they don't have to worry about a running play. It also allows your Pass rushing d-line to pin the ears back and go for broke!

Yes and no. While he doesn't have great size, he is a very active player that should be able to make a lot of tackles in the backfield. You've got to also realize that sacks lead to 3 and outs, and 3 and outs leads to less rushing yards (an offense can't produce rushing yards if it is on the bench).

The run defense was adequate at times, but the pass rush flat out sucked the entire season. It is the number one area that this team needs a lot of help at.
