I am wondering... did anyone know of this... or did... but didnt care?

Anyways... Russ Ortiz was signed on June 25th by the Baltimore Orioles to be reunited w/pitching coach Leo Mazzone with the hope to help resurrect Ortiz's career.... Well.... Ortiz in his first 2 starts pretty much continued what plagued him during his brief stint here w/the Dbacks... Here's the link to those 2 starts:

I know he hadnt pitched in quite awhile and Mazzone probably hasnt had enough time to evaluate his mechanics and hope correct them, but Ortiz is still demonstrating what the rather famous Simpson character "Comic Book Guy" would say:

You forgot to add the last triplet... which is understandable because no one else remembers him anyway.

That may go down as the worst decision the D-Backs have ever made. Albie Lopes instead of Jason Schmidt.

Let us not forget the great Todd Stottlemyre.

Say what you want about Stottlemyre and how his many injuries prevented him from being a regular contributer to the team...but, I loved having this guy and his fire around...remember how many times he'd be the 1st person off the bench for a brawl?

If Stottylemyre ever could've stayed healthy we would've had a sick 1-2-3 punch.

Ortiz could not get one Tampa Bay player out tonight. He allowed six runs in the first inning and was taken out without recording one out. I have a feeling he will be released very shortly.

Here is today's Orioles game thread. Pretty funny.

Gotta love the O's fans:

" Quote:
"How long will it take Ortiz to blow this lead? 1 inning, 2 innings?"

How 'bout ZERO innings?? Ortiz gets NO ONE out.

Sweet.

I feel for Russ Ortiz though, he should just take what little dignity he has left and retire*

*Actually, it would have been better too retire before he started pitching for the Diamondbacks, maybe we could of had just a few more wins before hell's fury of June.

I heard Armando Reynoso is slated to play Zorro in an upcoming film where Zorro is a washed up over the hill hero trying to be sauve one last time.
