This guy is one of THE original alt-country cats. Weird dude, but great music. I saw him in Tucson last year and it was phenominal. If you've ever heard the Coors w/Bono (or Tim Mcgraw's) version of "When the Stars Go Blue", dude wrote and performed that orginally. Probably one of his more well-know tunes, but definitiely not his best.

saw him open for Oasis in Chicago in december. actually had the same thought - Cardinology? perfect!

by the way, Oasis ROCKS.

Heartbreaker is one of my favorite albums of all time, but it seems like every album has declined since then. His old band, Whiskeytown, was pretty decent, too.
