It’s not his lack of ballhandling that makes me question his ability. It’s the fact that virtually every time I see him put the ball on the floor he gets it stolen or he commits an offensive foul. Unless he has an absolutely clear path to the bucket he simply doesn’t have sufficient handles to get anywhere with the ball.
dunn?

I've been impressed by Dunn's touch around the hoop. He struggled a bit last time out but generally finishes well around the hoop.

he's going to the hole just fine - even finishes with the left off the glass

Yeah, I'm not seeing the struggles mentioned by Ouchie either. He's not a PG, but he moves nice off the dribble in the half court. And, he's getting better at finishing. He'll continue to get better as he acclimates to the size of NBA bigs.

He got stuffed by Tristan Thompson on a drive last game, but I liked that he tried to dunk the ball rather than get cute with a layup that's out of his skill set, or stop to shoot a fadeaway/floater. Hopefully in the future he's better at assessing what the best way to get a high percentage shot or foul and adapting his approach, but for now I like the default of 'I'm gonna dunk this'.

That’s the play I was thinking of when I said he needs to acclimate to the size of NBA bigs lol. He got stuffed! I like that he went for the slam though.

He did have one drive last game where he tried to lay it up and it fell off the rim. I think he could have slammed it instead.

There's a couple stats related to Dunn I found interesting:

1. Dunn has played 209 minutes with KD and Booker. In the sample KD, Book, and Dunn are +10.8 net rating.

2. Dunn had 5 games in a row with double digits scoring. He is the first rookie to do that since Ayton. Not Bridges, nor Cam Johnson, ever achieved that feat.

Finally, I heard a podcast suggesting the Suns winning games doesn't depend as much on KD, Booker and Beal having great games, as much as it is Dunn and Richards having good games.

If you say so.

Watch him drive in traffic. I don’t want this to have to become one of those things that I have to post every time it happens because that will become annoying. But if you’re honest and you pay attention you’ll see what I’m seeing.
