I for one don't believe the part where Ryan had already decided to partake in practice and Keim was just giving him a pep talk. I believe the pep talk was "Dude, quit babying your knee or I will cut your A$$".

I say that as one of the few RW fans and hoping he breaks the Cards 2nd rd RB jinx identified by Duckjake.

Cant get to it but I heard someone said keim told him to hit the field today or else, is that what it eludes to?

Williams, noting that the discussion was after the decision was made to have Williams return to practice Thursday, said it was “kind of a pep talk.”

Not really how I read it but I did come away thinking that Keim's pep talk was as you described it. In other words RW was given an ultimatum but he/they are spinning the story.

Keim is the guy who told RW that the Cards would draft him, if he wasn't drafted in the first round, right?

Steve keim can cure knee soreness with a pep talk? Nice!

Yep, that's what's in the article.

I think RW makes the team if he gets though the next to games uninjured. Keim has a huge soft spot for him.

Pretty substantial for Ryan Williams to man up for a non-contact walkthrough.

Yeesh...did Williams steal your girlfriend and rape your dog or something? You just never miss an opportunity to rip that kid!

Seriously. A football player in RW position needs a pep talk? Come on now. I pull for the kid but sheesh.

Ryan Williams has to know this is his last chance to prove himself with the Cardinals. I agree, no one should have to give him a pep talk.

The guys a bum. His last game as a Cardinal he had 14 carries for 33 yards. What is it about his career 2.8 yards per carry that has people all excited about him?

I just can't figure out why so many posters like this guy and hate Skelton and Wells who were just as bad but at least got out of the training room to play on Sunday for at least one year.

Oh I forgot he's still on the roster. As soon as he's released the same people defending him now will claim they always knew he was a wasted pick and of course blame it on CKW and Graves. :D

K9 is to Ryan Williams as I was to Stewart Bradley :D.

I don't like the sounds of the "pep" talk. I hope it was more of a reality check. It's his 3rd year, and I know he's been injured, but it's time to take the kid gloves off and start handling him like a professional.

It's just not some posters who like RW, the entire team and staff were excited by what he was doing in TC his rookie year. It was obviously how much the entire team cared about him when he went down with the injury in the Packers preseason game. They all came out on the field and you could sense how bummed out the players were.

RW hasn't been the same since the injury but was showing signs this TC but the knee starts giving him problems again.

I will take the same stance on RW as I did Wadsworth, it's a shame his career never reached it's potential due to an injury.

We'll make you cry.

:p

I just erased a long diatribe.

Instead, I'll just say that I hope Ryan Williams proves everyone wrong and lights it up late today. (If he succeeds, we succeed).

If I am GM...

Hey AntSports Steve, why won't you answer my emails about getting paid from last year? Support at antsports does not work, and you have ignored my emails to antsports at gmail for weeks. My user name is Advocate, and my email is advocate808 at gmail.com. Please email me or send me a check. I verified my address twice with you at the end of last season for the payouts, but nothing came and I still show a balance in my account.

I would like to see him stay healthy all year just to see how good he is. So far he hasn't shown much.
