coach Mac is gone - no doubt about it !

so why not get his replacment in now (graves/bidwill must know who it will be) and let him work with the team for the last few games ???

actually... look at the university of arizona situation. UofA was criticized a bunch for saying they would name a coach by december 1st...the media in town (phoenix) thought they were stupid becuase candidates would not be interested in the job because they were committed to their current teams....

I think UofA made a great call....they got a list of top candidates while no other school was looking at new coaches because the season was not over..and they got mike stoops..I am not sure they would have got him (stoops) if it was january 15th and a bunch of teams were competing for him.. UofA had a good list all to themselves (norm chow would have been good also)...

Maybe the cardinals should do something different and start the search now before everyone else is looking for a coach..right now they could probably have their pick of top coordinators around the league..

The Cards won't relieve Mac until the end of the season. If they didn't do it after the Cleveland debacle, they aren't going to do it now.

The guy we will probably hire is more than likely under contract and we cannot even talk to him.

While I usually don't endorse a change during the season, one should be made now. The problem is that Mac must do everything he can to win a couple of games and maybe save his job. What this team needs to be doing in using its backup players more to see if they can contribute. Parsons and McCown should be the quarterbacks starting. Anderson and Scobey should be getting carries, not Mr. Smith. Harris and Hayes should be getting more time on the field.

By the end of this season, the Cards should know exactly what they have for backups, but they won't find out by leaving them on the bench.

We know exactly what the Cards have for backups. They're the starters.

Harry, if there is still a chance that Mac can save his job, than everyone needs to have their heads examined at Cards HQ.

And the last guy I want here is Fassell. We have been using the same guys from the Tobin regime for way too long now. How long has it been, almost 8 seasons now? Fassell although seperated for a while, still goes back to that lineage.

Lets go in a total different direction and bring in a completely new face.
