maybe the Suns are being put into a position for sale, thoughts on that possibility? Just pure conjecture on my part.

I doubt you'll find any rational Suns fan who'd be against Sarver selling the team but it doesn't seem likely(in the near future anyway).

It's also possible that maybe Sarver isn't in this for the long haul either. If we start seeing a lot of cash driven moves, maybe the Suns are being put into a position for sale, thoughts on that possibility? Just pure conjecture on my part.

These type moves certainly lead to this type of thinking which I have similarly expressed in some of my posts. This move involving Kerr, and possibly not re-signing Griffin, give legs to these type thoughts. Now if Amare walks for nothing the case becomes even stronger. Would Nash and Hill be far behind wanting to leave. Then their is JRich's expiring contract. This would be attractive for Sarver to move as well.

If these type moves are made, then a sale may be the most likely option.

Are there any more Russion bilionaires available? Or how about the guy that wanted to buy out Sterling? I'm all for a change of ownership. I don't really think Sarver has been as cheap as some say but he's made some financially based decisions that have really screwed this franchise.

Someone has mentioned David Geffen(the guy wanting Clippers ownership) and I'd be on board with that. I heard Arte Moreno wanted to buy the D-Backs before he bought the Angels I'd hope he'd be interested in buying the Suns.

I can't locate the article but unless I was dreaming I did read once that Sarver wasn't to going to rule out the option of not being an owner for the rest of his life, almost suggesting he would be willing to consider selling the Suns if his heart wasn't in it anymore. Unfortunately, I can't locate the damn article anywhere. Nor do I know how much the team is worth, but I do feel the team would be in demand, there's only so many franchises to go around.

I remember the article well. Unless Sarver has a plan that we don't know about, this might be the time to sell the Suns.

what's hilarious? If you think adding David Lee to this team does anything but makes us a one and done playoff team for the foreseeable future, just as Googs did to us, well, then agree to disagree. But are you really going to argue that the 27-23 Kidd-Googs team was title worthy or the next year when Kidd-Googs-Penny were healthy and they were a 53 win team?

A frontline of Grant Hill-David Lee-Robin Lopez is probably the least imposing front-line of any playoff team I can think of in the West.

AMEN brother.

Why would a business man sell a team that is making money?

Weren't the suns making money with JC when he sold the franchise?

According to the article I read the Suns were making money. However, when your trying to sell to an investment group, having a lower expense to income ratio always looks better. Sarver even before an agreement was made told JC that the team had to reduce expenses (salary etc.) before an offer would be made for the team.

He did make comments like that. The implication was that since he isn't selling the team, he is in it for the long haul. Guys that are fans first F their teams up. Like Cuban, Snyder, Sarver. You need pricks like Steinbrenner, the guy who owns the NE Pats, etc, imho, in order to build a solid organization. In that same vein, I've read lots of accounts where Red Auerbach did ruthless stuff to get an edge any way he could for his franchise to succeed. We clearly need someone who is a builder of an organization, not just a basketball guy. I just don't see someone like that working for Sarver.

If you are talking about Jerry C., he wanted to retire. His money was tied up in the Suns and Dbacks, and he needed to sell his interests to retire.
