Not hard to do when you just dropped Warner at 12 million off the books (not by our choice BTW) Lost Dansby at 10 million (not by our choice BTW) Lost Rolle at around 5 (not by our choice BTW) and traded Q dumping another 4 million in salary (only one that was our choice BTW).

Before you make comments like "go figure" you should wait and see what the salary spending is at come TC time. There is a long way to go debbie downer.

I realize we still have a lot ahead in this regard, I was amused nonetheless. No reason whatsoever we can't get Dockett, Porter, Foote and then some lined up at this point. I am still curious as to what the delay is with those two at this point, unless Whiz has decided he doesn't want them.

I doubt that, probably trying to save a few bucks.

Its not about just salary with this team. Its up front bonus money as well. They only have so much they can write checks for in the off season.

The league needs to address this figure in the new CBA. And I'm not talking about a slap on the wrist by charging a luxury tax that doesn't make a hill of beans to a team that want to usurp all the salary structures of the present league.

There needs to be REAL BARRIORS in place, like the loss of draft picks to teams that use predatory salary structure tactics. It's ruining Pro Sports.

And once the free agency thing slows down I expect multiple players to begin negotiating extentions to use up much of that "cap space". Dockett, Breaston, Lutui, DRC, maybe Leinart all need to be revisited in the next couple years. Having cap space now makes sense.
