Following the Indianapolis Colts making several outside signings during the first wave of NFL free agency, what are the 2025 salary cap hits for those players and how much cap space is now available for GM Chris Ballard?
Along with reworking Braden Smith's contract to free up needed salary cap space, that move, plus the moves above, are what has taken place so far for the Colts.
According to Over the Cap, the Colts currently have $21.07 million in available cap space. Compared to the rest of the NFL, this ranks 21st in terms of available spending.
However, not all of that is going to be used in free agency. There are additional salary cap expenses coming down the road, such as signing the incoming draft class, and making sure there are in-season reserves, among other costs.
Realistically, we may see some depth additions here and there between now and the draft, but the bulk of the Colts' offseason roster reshaping will now come via the NFL draft.
With help from Over the Cap, here are the salary cap hits in 2025 for the Colts' free agent signings and re-signings:
CB Charvarius Ward: $9.02 million
QB Daniel Jones: $13.65 million
S Cam Bynum: $7.01 million
WR Ashton Dulin: $2.27 million
IDL Neville Gallimore: $1.13 million
OL Danny Pinter: $1.33 million
RB Khalil Herbert: N/A
CB Corey Ballentine: N/A
K Spencer Shrader: $960,000
Wesley French: N/A
