Surprised it took this long (after the Eagles moved up in the draft to take his eventually replacement) to demand a trade.

The Niners and Browns are the two quarterback needy teams with the cap space to acquire him.

Please bring him back to the Division!

With his contract numbers it will be hard to trade him. he should just suck it up for a year to tutor the new QB and then move on next year.

Actually, if he's traded the Eagles need to eat $12M in accelerated signing bonus, but he only has a base salary of $7M or so. Perfectly tradeable.

It would make sense for him to go to SF - he could start, knows what is expected for Chip's system and it makes Kaep all that much more tradable.

I haven't been a Bradford hater, if anything I've been an apologist but this latest whiney move on his part ended that.

He has so little faith in his ability that he can't beat out a small school prospect????

Man up and play like you have gotten paid for since you have entered the league and prove everyone else wrong. So what if the Eagles lose their minds and don't keep you as the starting QB because you took them to the playoffs and stayed healthy all year....oh wait, you have never ever done that?????

Whiney bitch.

Playing out a year while a rookie sat on the bench worked out fine for Brees.

Well, he signed with the understanding that he was their guy going forward and now he's a placeholder. That stings!

Eagles would save $1.5mil on the cap if he's traded. The trick is to find a suitor.

Their guy going forward for the next two years. Hardly a big ringing endorsement. What stings is how much money Bradford has made without producing anything worth while. Because it's a QB starved league he keeps getting paid on potential and extra chances and keeps getting paid. I don't have an issue with that because it is what it is but don't freaking cry and whine if the team decides to hedge their bets.

Kurt Warner didn't whine for a second when the Cards drafted Leinhart, he simply kept working hard and ultimately came out on top.

Basically the Eagles will probably hold him hostage, then...They aren't going to eat that amount of money. If he wants a trade, he'll have to concede all, or part, of that amount...or the Eagles will need to find a team that will take it.

No one can "take it." It's a sunk cost at this point. The Eagles actually save some six figures if he's traded

what a freaking bitch.

^^ this

This JAMF got one of the last #1 draft choice MASSIVE contracts, walked away with crazy guaranteed money before ever playing a down. Hurt more than he's on the field (or so it seems). Got another big extension to stay with Philly. Now they want to bring in the next guy, while assumably still planning on playing Bradford for the next 2 years as he develops, and he cries and wants out? Give me a freaking break. Play your ass off for 2 years, make it hard on the Iggles to decide whether to re-sign you, or play the kid. If you play well and they do move on, somebody else will give you yet another boatload of cash. If you suck - well then you deserve to be pushed aside for the kid, and some other team will only give you a metric sh!tload of cash, not a complete boatload. Boo hoo! Poor Sam!

I agree with this. He needs to realize that the new guy coming in will need a few years to develop. He's not a spring chicken anymore & he's been paid well for his career.

Guys, don't you think this sounds fishy? 49ers call about a trade, the Eagles are game but asking price is way too high. They are probably trying to recoup some of the kings ransom they paid.

Ole Chip makes a call and says "Step 1: Be a d*ck, demand a trade and make a huge stink. Step 2: Profit"

What a BABY!!!

Has a huge contract deal...was TOLD publicly he's the starter...

It's the NFL bud....there are no guarantees

He should be kicked in the crotch for acting like this....

Where has he won? When was he in the playoffs? When did he LEAD a team?

Footsteps Falco had more success than this guy (Insert movie Replacements)
