And yet this staff named Skelton the starter. This organization either can't evaluate QB talent, is totally clueless at offensive scheme, can't coach up a Qb or all of the above.

I agree and posted this on this thread or another one. Well let me qualify, it seriously razes concerns about how they evaluate QB play.

Having said that, it's not like we have a clear case of who the starter should be. Bones, until this year, while having horrible quarters of play did have a great winning record % as the starter.

Dolphins have had decades not being able to find their QB. The Jags never really have. The Panthers found someone decent but not the real answer. It's a rather lengthy list that I could go on and on with but the point is it's far more difficulty than not.

Since Whiz has been the HC who did we have a chance to draft at QB and missed on. One maybe two guys?

I truly believe that if Kolb had stayed healthy we would have a winning record at this point, I also believe if Levi hadn't gone down for the season we would have a winning record, The lack of depth at OT is not acceptable. The QB issue is unfortunate but understandable.

True.

Joe Flacco instead of DRC would be one but they had Leinart and Warner at the time. Of course there are Ponder, Kaepernick, Dalton and Locker from 2011 but that would have meant passing on Peterson and anyway the Cards would have probably taken Gabbert. Of course there was 2007 when the first 3 QBs taken were JaMarcus Russel, Brady Quinn and Kevin Kolb, who the Cards passed on to take Alan Branch but again they had just taken Leinart and had Kurt Warner so Kolb wasn't an option at that time.

The only other real shot the Cards had at a top QB was 2004 with BenR and Matt Schaub but that would have meant no Fitzgerald.

Russel Wilson, Dalton, Kaepernick, Ponder, Flacco... all guys they passed on and four of those are from the last two years when we've been horrific at the position. In addition to this, we did nothing to try and move up to get a RG3 as opposed to Washington who moved heaven and earth to do so.

meanwhile, the guys he HAS brought in have been... Derek Anderson, Max Hall, TRIED to sign Charlie Whitehurst, wanted a shell of himself Marc Bulger, traded for Kevin Kolb and drafted John Skelton and Lindley. That's pretty much the WORST QBS in ALL of football for the last three years. Literally... ALL of the worst QBs in football, with Kolb being the "diamond" in the rough simply because he's mediocre and usually gets hurt before his play completely falls off a cliff.

But why would you draft Joe Flacco just two years after taking Matt Leinart and also had Kurt Warner who had lit it up the last half of the season the previous fall? I don't think anyone could afford to do that. Of course they could have taken Flacco and jettisoned Leinart 2 years early. But jeez dumping a first round QB after only two seasons??? In hindsight it would have been the smart move though.

To get Ponder or Locker they would have had to pass on Peterson. And you know that being the Cardinals they would have taken Gabbert instead of either of those two.

Dalton and Kaepernick were gone before the Cards drafted in the 2nd round. But the Cards could maybe have traded up to get one of them however who knows if the Bills or Patriots would have been willing to make a deal.

Leinart washing out is the problem. He was supposed to be the guy. Instead he was just a bum.

You know what...What is even funnier...except for Leinart...every QB Whiz has had is out of the league....or not a starter....Meaning...Whiz tries to make QB's who dont even make the worst team roster or they barely make it and never play.

Chad Henne would be a huge improvement here.....so would have Orton.

That is what happens when you constantly have a great defense covering for your abysmal flaws.

Whiz is overrated.

This whole QB debacle started when Whiz stated Leinart was his guy at the start of training camp and by the end of training camp cut him. How does a QB go from starter to cut in a mere 6 weeks? This should have been a clue that Whiz has absolutely no idea on how to evaluate a QB.

Since that time it has been car wreck after car wreck. It's gut wrenching to watch. I would like to know how Whiz and his offensive staff justify their decisions and selections of players, then sends them out to play and can't see the disaster it is when even a casual fan can see the train going over the cliff. Are they that stubborn or that arrogant that they will continue to stick to their system when it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it does not work unless you have very specific players running it.

What's even worse is even they can't figure out the right players to run their own system.
