Theres the coach I know!!!!

Took about 15 minutes to make this post the site is crashing or something..

- Cant stop the penalties
- Not punishing anyone making the penalties
- every return had a penalty
- cant call a play in in 45 second like every other coach and cost us a td
- punts on 4th and 4 with 2:50 to go with a defense that has given up yards on almost every single play.

We were outcoached and its no surprise to me. If this is the coach that shows up against any team that isnt god awful then hello 7-9 or less.

Only thing i can knock is him not taking out the players making the penalties..

Other than that, nothing he can control.

ABSOLUTELY!! I BELIEVE in WHIZ'!!!

...And I thought Haley called the plays now, with Whiz' suggesting thru-out the game. I'm sure the crowd-noise affected the rhythm of the play-calling as well.

Hey Belichick's Patriots got blitzed by Miami yesterday. Even good coaches and good teams have a mediocre game. He should have gone for it on 4th and 4, but let's put this one behind us and beat the Jets Sunday. :)

We lost by 7.
the team did look flat and there were some poor decisions made
Defence didn't look as good as its touted to be
Offence looked sluggish and Warner looked unhappy the whole game.
that said its only one loss by 7 points lets not form a posse just yet.

Wow, we have come a long way, if people are this upset over a 7 point road loss. Remember just a couple years ago, when we were suffering 30+ point road defeats on a regular basis? Now those were times for meltdowns on the board. Yes, we have come a long way.

The clock management is irksome. It seemed like 90% of our plays from scrimmage started with only 1 second left on the clock. Hey if we're up by 10 in the 4th quarter I could live with that, but coming that close throughout the whole game?
After the 4th down call to punt, I told my wife 'that's game'.

I think every Cardinal fan watching said the same thing to their wives or gay lovers.

Not trying to jump on you but be careful with that. There is at least one pretty damned good member here (DBack Jon) who is gay.

I don't think he meant it deragatory, as more inclusive. That's the way I took it at least.

It wasn't his best game as head ball coach but I still believe in Whiz. He's got this team headed in the right direction.

Now this is just a silly homer excuse, We run the play-clock down to 1-2 seconds at home all the time too.

I really don't understand how Payton Manning has time to get to the line, change the play multiple times, do a blurb for a directV commercial :), and still snap the ball with 5-6 seconds left, meanwhile Kurt has 1 second on the clock (or a penalty) when there isn't even an audible.

Can you imagine how many penalties this offense would have before the helmet communication came along?

Whiz and HIS coaches cant figure out what they want to do.

like I said before of all the NFL coaches we have the one that has yet to learn how to make his team work efficently.

There is also the possiblity that Warner takes it that long because of the way he reads defenses. Alot of those plays are in and they're at the line for a long time before he calls for the snap.

The one play where we were flagged for delay of game that really cost us was the TD to Boldin that was called back, they still had time on the clock and if you remember they were still bent about the spot of the ball.

That confusion ticked them off and ate time, but Warner supposedly still got the play off in time.

It was not Whiz's best game, should of gone for the 4th and 4, we did have too many penalties but even on that I sympathize, many were just BS penalties like the phantom delay of game.

We were homered bad in this game, still had a shot to win and we were not playing our best game.

I think you're a little hard on the Whiz.

Almost every play gets off with 1 second to go. Every play I see that clock in the corner and hold my breath as it almost goes to zero.

I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, that it comes down more to the quarterback in that situation rather than the coach.

Doesn't the mike in the helmet turn off once the play clock reaches 15 seconds? If so, if the coach needs to call the play after that time, he either signals it in or has to send in a substitution with the play.

You watch the tape, you see the huddle breaking up consistantly, with plenty of time to spare.

I think this has more to do with Warner's reading of defenses and adjusting than Whiz getting in the call late.

it was actually a TD pass to Ben Patrick that called back, not Boldin...

The headsets do shut off with 15 seconds to go. However, what if the play doesn't get to Kurt in time, or impartially, where he has to come up with a play on his own.

I'm not sure if this happens or not.

On this note, I thought one of the reasons why Kurt was playing in the first place (last year) was that Matt didn't grasp the no huddle offense very well. If I recall correctly, we haven't seen the no huddle at all, all season long. This team is BUILT for the no huddle offense.

I agree.

I think the subject line of this thread should be changed. We lost a tough game on the road. Had our defense held, and Warner get us a score, then Whis looks like a genius. I'm willing to give Whis the benefit of the doubt.
