Isn't Adam Greene one of our own? That alone gets two extra points on the Système international d'unités scale of article ratings.

Well, if Mr Green chooses to be a corporate shill, I can choose to stay a bitter ole man. I'm with Rugby.... I just wish he would have made his point with a little more conviction.:)

Wow. People just please step away from the keyboard and go find a girlfriend or something. There's some special things she can help you with. You might feel better and more relaxed afterwards

LOL

Adam's article should have had this at the end: :koolaid:

As a "same old fan" since 1988, I remember walking up to Whisenhunt and thanking him for bringing us to the second best record in the history of the Arizona Cardinals: 8-8.

Let's just say skepticism is well deserved.

BTW, Whisenhunt looked at me like I crapped in his cereal and said "8-8 isn't ever good enough"

I wonder what happened to that guy cause he was pretty intense.

Great article!

Shows what a pompous arse some people can be.

LOL - Its the fans fault now ?

You wanna pimp a 5-11 team, go ahead. Just because people won't blindly follow is no reason to go insulting others.

I cannot think of a more pathetic thing to write about.

Not cheap but pocketed 32 million in 2010, while pushing Derek Anderson out on the field.

But you know what ?

The author is 100% right.

This isn't the "Same Ol' Cardinals".

This is a new Cardinal era ! Things are completely different!

The Cardinals have found a whole new way to drive a sports organization into the ground.

The organization sheds the label when it can consistently compete. It has nothing to do with what they spend. As for desire? Show me. Don't tell me. SHOW ME!

Seriously, what in the hell has this organization done while in AZ that gives them any reason not to be called such a thing. They have had how many winnings seasons ?

This "Same Ol' Caridnal fan" wishes he could get rid of the "new age Cardinal fan" You know, the ridiculously, optomistic fan that touts everything as a success, and is the apologist for every piss poor piece of sports work done by the franchise. Who can't write 5 lines of text talking about football, but can spend all day telling other Cardinal fans how they are not the fan they themselves are.

Yeah, really great new fans that insult each other, and have no continuity or loyalty to anyone but their own minds.

Good stuff. Have fun with that.

Best thing, you can't get rid of me, and all I have to do is wait around until the ridiculously optomistic new fan can't lie to himself anyone, curses every other Cardinal fan out, and leaves for "better teams".

That article is a pretentious flippin' joke.

Is there even one single fact in that article that the author can hang his hat on ?

You know what is even better? I read an article not to long ago that called out the fans for being jerks for wanting Whiz gone. Now I read another about how you are a bad fan if you wanted him to stay.

Screw that. Fans going around, and popping their jersey about "How great a fan I am in comparison to this fan of the same team." That is pathetic. That is REALLY, REALLY pathetic.

Oooo..... you are the best football fan in the world.

How about this hack writes about football, and not about how he rules and everyone else sucks. Or is that impossible these days ? Can't have a different opinion, and if you do, if you DARE defend it, then be prepare to be personally attacked because you dare think different.

This guy is selling hot ---- in a champagne glass, while we are getting cold diarrhea in a dixie cup.

Screw Adam Green. There is a reason he is a hack on a do nothing website.

ANYONE that has stuck with this team for 10+ years is a HECK of a fan, to deal with the crapola that has been put in front of us. Just because one of the guys who Bidwill practically signs his checks, was writing an article while under Bidwill's desk doesn't mean to much.

Corporate shill, no. I write what I feel and nothing more.

And the gist of this piece is not to rip fans so much as the idea that these are the "Same Old Cardinals". Disagree all you want, but I feel Mike B. is proving with the way he does business that things have changed.

The result may ultimately be the same but the process is going to be different. I think Mike B. cares more about winning than the bottom line -- or, at least, as much about winning as the bottom line. Don't think his dad was the same way, and that will make a difference.

But thanks for reading ya'll.

I'm believing in the generational skip theory. Bill's dad was obviously an astute and good businessman. Even though 40 yr fan disagrees it is obvious to me that Bill is not a good businessman.

This is where the generational skip comes in. Bill Sr. was skipped and the businessman "gene's" jumped to Michael.

This is why they aren't the "same old Cards" anymore. Now win loss record may not improve because Michael will screw things up differently than his Dad but I don't believe this to be the case.

For every money hording season recently it is my sense that Michael didn't have full control yet. It appears that he does now and so while he won't "make it rain" like Snyder and Jones he won't pinch a penny so hard that Lincoln gets a nose bleed. That was how Sr. ran the team, not how Michael is running things.

Forums are not here for everyone to hold hands while singing Kumbaya. They are for people to speak their minds and to share each other opinions. The fact is, we have three winning seasons in 25 years. Just think about that. You have your fans that speak their mind(like me) and then you have the fans who I call ars kissers(aka sugercoaters) who attack anything negative that you post(even though it's ok for them to post negativity when they want too because they have been here on the forums for years with over 5k posts). THIS IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS. If you don't like it, IGNORE it.

This article should be dedicated to the fans who sell their tickets to opposing fans. YEAH, YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the real shame.

Jesus Rugby. It's only football. Don't give yourself a stroke or you're gonna end up talking like Thesmel

If it was football, then there would be no problem.

What the heck does that article have to do with football ? What part of football involves going through the bleachers and judging each fan ? Which part of football concerns with pointing out certain people and saying "You are not welcome here." And for what ? Because we don't agree on an opinion ?

That is flippin' ridiculous, thus the post.

Impossible to put my emotional state into the text I write. I assure you, I wasn't "raged out" while writing that post. Far from it. I was as calm as any other post I make.

If it sounds aggressive then I don't know what to say about that. I don't believe that the Cardinals have done enough to shed its label, thus I am grouped into the people whom the author says the organization should get rid of.

I am wrong to defend myself ?

Green Machine, more or less, told me and others of my opinion to take a hike. Those are strong words, and to not expect strong words back is pissing in the wind of ignorance.

Green Machine can post whatever he wants, and I can respond. That's it. Nothing more too it. I don't hate the guy, just am not going to sit here let him say people like me are part of the problem with why this organization doesn't have success, and that I should leave. He wrote his opinions and thoughts on the matter, and so did I. Done. Thought his response with the family guy clip was awesome.

But, I guess if someone kicked your dog right in front of you, there are people that wouldn't do anything about it. I am not one of them, obviously :D

Hey hey hey

That's enough out of you.

Pack up your things and go.

This is the NEW Cardinals. Superbowl is practically in the bag, or didn't you hear ?

Guys like you are the reason this organization has done nothing for decades, or didn't you hear that as well ?

The Cardinals quit being cheap years ago. Only a few people who don't know any better still call them that. When I say Same Old Cardinals its because they are still doing the same things that got them a 5-11 record in 1990. Can't put a decent offensive line on the field. Can't get a decent QB. Can't get a decent RB. Free Agents overpaid. First round draft picks not panning out. And most importantly of all are still finding News of the Weird ways to win or lose football games and set dubious records.

The only difference currently is that they have put a top Defense on the field for the first times since 1994.

5-11 with 'em. 5-11 without 'em.

Pretty much my sentiments. My intent was not to insult Green Machine by calling him a shill for his article, more rather, to express what you wrote here. My shill comment was more tongue in cheek.

Not sick of any Cardinals fans -- sick of the mentality some seem to still have. Hence the request for the "death" of those fans. I'm about moving on, because I think the Cardinals organization has.

But hey, I'm not here to tell you how you should feel or even defend my column. I don't expect everyone to love what I write, and if everyone did I wouldn't exactly be doing my job.

Hate it and/or me as much as you want, it's no big deal.

Just don't think I don't stand by what I write.
