Found the analysis interesting.

All this points out something we should all know by now; the two most important aspects in football are:

#1 - Quarterback play
#2 - Team ability to rush the passer

Don't forget turnovers. In 2005 the Cards passed for over 4700 yards but the offense had 36 turnovers, 16 lost fumbles! And finished 5-11.

Of course #4 was the Denny Green factor. How could a guy have that kind of talent on the team in 2006 and still go 5-11? Whisenhunt takes most of the same key players and 2 seasons later wins the NFC Championship.

No one on this planet has any numbers on the Matt Leinart we now have as our starting Qb to be punched into any computer. He started and played only one game last year with less than 50% of the practice snaps as Kurt fully planned to start up until 2 hours before gametime and the game for Warner and not leaning towards the skills Matt possesses that change the way a game is called.

Plus now we also have the players to run the different style offense that Matt can and will be successfull in.Won't be the first time the talking heads were Wrong & it won't be the last. Most of the credit will be deflected straight onto Whiz' shoulders so as not to look as foolish as they actually are.

The computer numbers are totally unknown. No matter how many times you run the program.:)

BINGO! The simulation results may be something for the obssessed (us) to talk about, but it's really a wasted exercise.
