Very weird how Wiz praises what he see's from Leinart for months & his thoughts appear to have changed about him just weeks later by playing time. Another strange thought is how DA has climbed so far after having a bad camp by reporters & fans. :pullhair: I'm still very puzzled by this move.

Yea very strange. Up to July Whis had nothing but praise for Leinart.

I guess DA's stellar 58.3 QB rating so far in preseason is what swayed his decision.

If we release or trade Matty he'll probably end up setting the league on fire and we will sit and spin. Maybe Whiz is getting a piece of the bandwidth action he's causing on the 'net by apparently shuffling the QB pecking order.

All the earlier talk just sounds like positive reinforcement coachspeak. Tell him he's the man, you have full confidence in him etc, and hope he takes it to heart, gets some confidence and lives up to it.

Interesting read. What is especially baffling is the reminder that we reshuffled the OLine because Matt was a lefty. That was the thinking behind moving Levi over. So what in the world is Whis thinking now?

I still don't want McNabb here. Money also had to be a factor in bringing McNabb in. I don't know for sure but I think he's due about 10 mill this year. Couple that with the money invested in ML and they wanted to see him perfrom. Then you have to factor in, say McNabb came in and absolutely lit things up, like Warner did, then the Cards would be on the hook to sign him to a huge extension and McNabb would have all the leverage like Warner had.

I would take that bet. In fact I would say if he is released he will never be a starting QB in the NFL for a full season. There is not a big calling for weak armed QB's who don't react quickly.

I said along time ago that if ML couldn't develop what I call "the Joe Montana effect" ( the ability to quickly read defenses he would never make it in the NFL). KW was a master at it even tho he had a much stronger arm. He knew what the "D" was doing before they did.

BTW, did he actually answer the question? It looked to me like he just gave a breakdown of Whiz's comments about Leinart and then said that, yes, they should have pursued McNabb without actually saying why they didn't.

I really wrote the email to hopefully spark some in the media to ask Whis and the Cardinals tough questions.

So far is has just centered around why coach made the change and how much Leinart sucks... I want one reporter to actually ask why they took this chance when two quality starting QBs were on the market and the team/coach lacked that much faith in Matt.

This did NOT happen. Are you suggesting that Brandon Keith, a 7th round draft pick who has played some lot of BACKUP guard but mostly been manning the sidelines during games, was inserted as the RIGHT tackle so he could be the main man to protect our left handed QBs blindside? Why does anyone think this? Is it just because someone said it once, and others take it as gospel?

Sorry for the rant, but this is crazy talk.

Good job, Loyalty. Given the charade that's going on, Donovan would have been the way to go. Or Jason Campbell. The Raiders gave up next years 4th for him.

Good job posing the question. But Sando's response doesn't come anywhere close to answering the question.

I still say that this weeks change in rotation (which is the first in the game) is much ado about nothing. Leinart will be the starter week 1; how long he remains the starter will be on him.
