'Saturday Night Live' makes fun of U of A, er, UArizona nickname change

Arizona finally made a return appearance on “Saturday Night Live” as a punchline Saturday — the first time this season unless I missed something.
And that’s unusual.
It was a quick and easy joke about the University of Arizona changing its nickname which, honestly, is a move just ripe for comedy picking. The school announced Monday that it would no longer go by “UA,” and will henceforth be called “UArizona.”
Most people thought it was a kind of dopey move, mostly because it is. So did “SNL.”
“Is it just me, or does ‘UArizona’ sound like the punch line to a joke about Arizona stereotypes?” Colin Jost — a Harvard man, no less — said during the “Weekend Update” segment. “Like, ‘If you’ve ever gotten a DUI in a golf cart, UArizona.’”
The joke got a lot of laughs and a light smattering of applause.
