If the Cards go 3-3 the rest of the way, SF or Seattle would have to win out(6-0) to even catch us to tie us. Even though no game is a gimmie, I think we can take Atlanta but the other 5 games; KC, SeattleX2, @SF, @STL are crazy tough games. I have no doubt we can win those 3. A win vs Seattle will pretty much seal the deal for a division championship.

Only one game matters, chickens are the only team that exists. These scenario orgies are popping up all over the place, but we concentrate on one game at a time. It's the way we do.

Congrats on the win. Can't say i'm happy about it but...

Cards are definitely in the drivers seat, but i remember looking over the schedule weeks ago...these last seven games are your gauntlet.
Detroit
@ Seattle
@ Atlanta
Kansas City(very underrated)
@ Rams
Seattle
@ San Francisco

Rams just emerged from their gauntlet 3-4.
@ Philly
SF
Seattle
@ Kansas City
@ SF
@ AZ
Denver

When rolling with backup QB's it all comes down to eliminating the turnovers and dumb mistakes. Austin Davis' mistakes cost us the game in AZ last week, that's why he was benched. If we had lost to SF he would have been benched a week earlier because he made poor decisions, but we won so Fisher kept him in vs AZ. I'm really looking forward to game 2 in the dome.

Anyway, if Stanton can manage and protect the ball AZ will be fine. Your team is so well coached...he'll be prepared.

On a side note: Why the hell are offenses still surprised and unprepared when AZ throws that everything-but-the-kitchen-sink blitz at them on 3rd down? Sometimes i wonder just how much film these OC's actually watch.

I don't think it's surprise as much as it is just not having anything open, but we did get beat a few times on quick short throws on 3rd down in this game. Bottom line it is extremely hard to execute against the Cards blitz because they cover so well in man coverage and thus don't make it easy for the QB to make quick decisions.

We just finished a stretch against Philly, Dallas, St Louis, and Detroit. All with better talent and records than Seattle, San Fran, Atlanta, or KC. (Well, maybe not the Rams) We just blasted through our gauntlet too, at 4-0 I might add.

I would really love another shot at Denver.

Take a look at the 49ers and especially the Seahawks schedule. No way either of those teams are winning out.

The Seahawks/Niners have to play each other twice. They will be killing each other off.

Sounds nice, but I wouldn't underestimate Kansas City...

Atlanta either... they're in a dogfight for the division.. albeit at 4-6. The Rams would probably win that division easily.

Denver has little chance of beating Pats. Especially if they have to go to NE. Unless something happens to Brady or Gronk, I can't see them not going to the Super Bowl this year.

Fortunately it's at home and our defense has been great against what they do well. If we can make Alex Smith have to beat us I think we should win.
Good points, but I am more concerned with their defense than the offense. But then again the Cardinals did just win against the statistically best defense in the NFL! :)

Other stat tidbits courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information:

•The Cardinals are 9-1 for the first time since 1948, when they were the Chicago Cardinals (their ninth win that season also came against the Lions).
•The Cardinals are 6-0 at home this season, the first time since 1970 the Cardinals won their first six home games to start a season.
•This is the first time the Cardinals own the outright best record in the NFL this late in a season since concluding the 1948 season with an 11-1 record, courtesy of Elias.
•The Cardinals have won six straight games, their longest win streak since 1977.
•Five of the Cardinals nine wins have come against teams currently above .500.
•The Cardinals have 10 sacks in their past two games (had eight in their first eight games).
•The Cardinals can finish the season 3-3 and still set the franchise record for wins (11, done three times, most recently in 1975).
•The Cardinals have the best record in the NFL despite: being outgained this season ( by 10.7 yards per game), being last in the league in rush yards per attempt (3.1), having scored as many touchdowns as the Falcons and Bears (27), having scored a touchdown on 51.9 percent of drives that reach the red zone, 24th in the NFL.

Seattles favored by -6.5. We are still flying under the radar.
