Thought that this guy sounds like an a-hole. Very cocky and immatutre. Escpecially when he was talking about his charge for pointing a squirt gun at someone. Did not like the way he came off. I really hope we do not pick him.

Ditto. Also he seemed mildly ******** !

I hope the Cards don't draft this guy and someone like Michael Huff, Vernon Davis, or Vince Young drop to us.

Thanks for the info. I was driving home from work today and one of the sports talk moderators (wasn't paying attention to who it was) was doing cartwheels over him, like he was the second coming; this moderatior was saying Denny can't take a QB at #10, because he needs to win now. Bull. If Warner is injured someone needs to come in, as in right now. Navarre - maybe and maybe not. Cutler or Young, with a good training camp, might be able to come in, survive and play respectibly. I'd take the BPA at #10, either of the prior QBs, Huff or Davis (if they are there), Ngata, Bunkley, Jimmy Williams (yeah I see an impact player, despite all the negatives by reporters), Sims or Greenway. There are lots of excellant OLs in the 2nd and 3rd round. JMO.

How someone conducts themselves in an interview has nothing to do with playing football.

Are you kidding me ! A good interview will give you a feeling for someone else's personality. Personality and character are key issues when it comes to drafting.

I also thought the interview reminding me of Joe Horn interview 2 years ago. Where he though everything was about madden and every day real life was like a video game.

Being cocky or arrogant is a trait every player in the NFL has. If you are going to throw Justice on the scrap heap for it you might as well do it for Edge and Q - two guys who are huge fan favourites around here. Being cocky or arrogant doesn't mean he isn't a team player or relates well to his teamates ether.

Additionally, stammering in an interview has exactly nothing to do with playing football. It was evident that he was nervous about the whole process, something that I'm sure we have all had to deal with at some stage of our lives.

I also thought the interview reminding me of Joe Horn interview 2 years ago. Where he though everything was about madden and every day real life was like a video game.

And Joe Horn is an all-pro reciever. Which really proves my point here.

The "now" issue is silly. Rarely do rookie lineman perform. They are very close to QBs and WRs in the time it take for them to adjust.

Anyone remember what Shawn Marion sounded like when he was drafted? I wouldn't mind having the football equivalant of him...

Who cares how people sound in interviews? Did he cry like Cedric Benson did last year? It has absolutely nothing to do with playing ability. Can you imagine passing on a perrenial all-pro tackle because he had a bad radio interview?

Agreed. We aren't drafting a team spokesman. We are drafting someone who can protect Kurt and open holes for Edge.

Pat Kirwan of NFL.com thinks Justice can start at RT THIS season. Given Oliver Ross' pathetic effort last season, he may be worth consideration at #10, depending on who else is there.

Winston Justice, OT, USC: Justice is a great athlete who has measurable numbers personnel people dream about, but coaches feel he could have used another year of playing experience if the front office expects him to line up on Day 1 this season. If he goes in the top 15, he will be on the field right away. My feeling is that his athletic ability will help him survive the early stages if he's on the right side, where he played in college, but the left side might be too much.

Agreed again. With this line, and its pathetic existance, you WANT someone who is cocky. I do not get the immature vibe, but even so. There are a lot of scouts that now rate Justice ABOVE Ferguson. I am not saying this guy will come in and pancake Strahan from day one, but I would not be unhappy at all if we draft him (and realistically he might be the BPA left.)

Sure it does - how can a representative of "your Arizona Cardinals" talk smack across the LOS if he can't put two words together???"

Seriously, we're supposed to be acquiring football talent; not talk-show hosts.

That said (& I guess it's just me) - I still don't rate him - as a best available player - anywhere in the neighborhood of #10.

If he called it a squirt gun then he's lying. It was a pellet gun and one that was so realistic looking even the campus police initially thought it was a real gun.

Now to defend the guy, stuttering has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence. We had a guy at my current company who is now a CEO for the second time in his career(at a new company) and he stutters as badly as anybody I've ever met. Highly intelligent guy though.

The Kid had good interviews by all accounts at the combine with team officials from around the league.

Who cares what he does talking to a reporter.

It's really sad how people form opinions of someone they've never met. IT just goes to show how far we have to go as a society. Don't label someone you don't know.

I understand cocky but the guy was saying hes head and shoulders better than Brick. At least have some humility. On the stuttering thing i brought it up because it seemed like he was stuttering because he didnt kno what to say. BTW he did say squirt gun.
