Look for Matt Cassel to be one of the quarterbacks on the Cardinals' radar. Cassel also will receive interest from other teams.

I hope not.

Yeah, he said that on NFL Live too. I can't really see why we'd be interested, unless it was as a Brian Hoyer/John Skelton replacement.

The guy we should bring on board when free agency begins is Drew Stanton.

Cassel is a turnover machine. 30 in his last 18 games played. I'd rather have Kolb behind center.

The usual lazy journalism at its finest.

Any QB that becomes available will automatically be said to be linked to the Cards, and it doesn't matter if there is any truth to it or not.

Why? Stanton has been a career backup. After 5-6 years, his spot in the NFL is pretty much determined. Cassel has at least had some success in the league as a starter.

That's true, but any QB that stand can upright should be considered by the Cards.

Yeah and we'll have to live with these same lazy journalists telling the world that we missed out on our 1st choice (and 2nd choice etc) even though there was never anything more than speculation about us being in pursuit of Smith.

I think that is true...the only reason I can think of as to why the Cardinals would be interested in Matt Cassell is that Jason Licht knows him well from his Patriots days. But, I can't imagine that Cassell fits the QB profile of an Arians-run offense.

Cassel SUUUUUCKS. My best friends a diehard Chiefs fan. He's laughing his ass off right now at the idea that Cassel could be our next QB.

Purely as a backup that has knowledge of Arians' system. Maybe a spot start or two for a rookie. Certainly not to be our long term starter.

Prediction: Cassell back to the Pats as their backup when they trade their present number two.

Much prefer we select a QB in round two to groom and cut a deal with Kolb.

Look for X who could, should, may, might, possibly, maybe, go to Y. There! I am now a football insider.

I'm all for bringing in anyone that can help us so I'm fine with giving Matt Cassel a chance. Anyone know what position he plays?

Trade bait has always been his most productive position.
