This is a mock I happen to be very much in line with from team to team.

The Cardinals signed Joey Porter to help their pass rush, but since they run a 3-4 scheme, they can never have enough pass rushers. Graham has been one of the most impressive defenders this offseason and will make his presence felt at the next level.

My question is if the draft does breakdown this way, do the Cardinals select Graham in that scenario? Even with signing Porter?

I think I would.

I freaking know I would especially with Porters age and a possible suspension looming.

Would rather have Hughes or Kyle Wilson.

McClain, Graham, Weatherspoon, Cody.... That is my wish list. If Graham is there I am sprinting to the podium.

I just have a feeling your top 3 won't be there. In that case I want Hughes because I still think we need a starting OLB

It just amazes me though at how many mock drafts completely ignore the glaring black hole the Cards have at WILB. I've seen several that don't have the Cards taking even one ILB.

Its simple really. We could use an OLB as a hole will open there when Porter starts to slide in performance and if Brown, Davis and Baggs dont step up. Therefore itd be nice if we could get a pretty good OLB in the 2-4th round such as Thaddeus Gibson.

But what must not be ignored is this. we HAVE A DIRE NEED at ILB therefore it is imperative in my eyes we take at least 1 in the first two rounds. My wishlist in this department is as follows

1. McClain
2. Weatherspoon
3. Sean Lee
4. Daryl Washington.

If we could pick somebody like a Pat Angerer or Donald Butler in the later few rounds it would be an added bonus and gives us someone to develop for Hayes' spot which is bound to become open soon.

The top 2 players at the true positions of need are gone..

ILB - McClain and Weatherspoon
NT - Williams and Cody
CB - Haden and Thomas

At that point I'd go with the BPA. The mock has Daryl Washington in the first round but I don't think he is a first round talent really so I'd rather take my chances with an ILB in rounds 2 and/or 3.

At #26 they have available still among others:
Brandon Graham, Golden Tate, Kyle Wilson, Brian Price, Daryl Washington among others..

I wouldn't be too upset with Golden Tate even if we don't need a #2 WR Talent really.

I'm surprised that people forget that we have a pass rush prospect coming back in Cody Brown. He's a second round pick and a player the team had a lot of faith in his ability to apply pressure from the outside.

With Haggans, Porter, Davis, and Brown, it's really hard to say how snaps would be doled out, and it's difficult to say that you'd use the pick to develop him because we have two glaring holes at NT and WILB.

I have this thing about CBs. I don't how deep this draft is at CB, but the Cardinals need another good one. Never can have CBs. One can cover up for a lot of deficiencies on the field but not at CB. Don't get me wrong, getting a NT or linebacker is a lot more attractive especially in the first round but I feel the Cardinals are weak or mediocre at CB except for DRC.

Not bad. Then I immediately start working a trade up to nab Weatherspoon/Lee at the top of the 2nd round.

Is that CB you refer to Earl Thomas? I did hear he could be pretty good at CB even though his best position might be FS. Unlikely to be at 26 but then again just about our premier choice for each position wont be there.
