A Peek at the Scrubs Musical Episode
Source: NBC
December 1, 2006

Beginning today on iTunes, fans of NBC's returning comedy "Scrubs" (Thursdays, 9-9:30 p.m. ET), now in its sixth season, can get a sneak peek of the highly anticipated musical episode scheduled to air in January. The first look is a video montage set to the original song "Guy Love," sung by cast members Donald Faison and Zach Braff concerning their characters' unique friendship.

The duet is available for free download from now through the end of February.

Life is but a song for the cast of "Scrubs" when they star in their own musical featuring songs written by the Tony Award-winning composers of "Avenue Q," Robert Lopes and Jeff Marx. The episode features original "Avenue Q" cast member Stephanie D'Abruzzo as a patient who checks into Sacred Heart complaining of hearing incessant music and the hospital is turned into a stage. The episode is scheduled to air on January 18.

"Scrubs" recently returned to NBC's primetime schedule on November 30 to begin its sixth season.

"Scrubs" is produced by Touchstone Television. Bill Lawrence ("Spin City") is the executive producer and creator.

I think a musical episode of scrubs makes more sense than some shows. I mean look at how big a part of the show music is and how many music montages they do. I think it will be very entertaining.

This show is freaking hilarious. It took me an episode or 2 before I got used to the offbeat humor. However, once you get it, it rocks. I am so glad it's back on.

PS I just watched the musical episode. One word...hilarious. The "Guy Love" duet was classic.

The season finale last night was great.

Anyone else think that JD and Elliot won't really kiss and the begining of next season will be them pulling away from eachother?

People thought the sixth season would be the last because ZB didn't think he would come back for a 7th. He wants to focus entirely on movies. Then he signed for a 7th season back in March, but it's clearly the last season. ZB is supposed to have spent the summer in post-production on his second film.

That's a mistake, I hate that in TV people always want to move on. He has a great show and he wants to make movies like "The Last Kiss." Damn, I'm disappointed.

As a writer and director, he definitely has more steam there than as an actor. I thought Garden State was just OK, but critics seemed to be giving him ******** via inchiostro ... to, um, use my Italian friend's favorite expression. He even won a Spirit Award. I don't know what his second movie will be like, but there will be a lot more expectations behind it than the first one. I wonder if low expectations for GS led to overwhelming reviews, like, "Hey, I didn't see a boom mic in the frame or a single reflection of the crew in any shot. Magnifique!"

This really is a funny, clever show. I might need to get the dvd's. I find myself laughing out loud at the quirkiness.

JD and Turk are the cutest couple on TV. This is my 2nd favorite show, right behind the Office.

I should play the lottery. :D

Last night's episode was great. I've never really liked Keith but him calling Elliot a "Pig *****" had me laughing.
