Great move by the Seahawks. And, for New England as well.

He SHOULDN'T be a huge factor this week. We'll see.

How good of shape can he be in to make an immediate impact? doesn't concern me too much this week, later on he'll be a factor.

He's a good player it'll be interesting to see if his stats go up now that he's not in NE or down. Brady spreads it around so much you tend to think he holds down WR's stats, but I wonder if it's just the opposite that he involves everyone and a guy like Branch might not get that elsewhere?

But their first rounder figures to be late anyways.

I still don't trust Green one on one with him. You'll have to roll help over. This should take a man out of the box against Alexander.

You'll probably have Wilson in the box for Alexander. Griffith to help with Branch....unless Branch looks totally out of sync with Hasselbeck.

The game could come down to if Rolle can contain Jackson on an island.

We HAVE to get a lot more pressure on the QB this week. If Hasselbeck gets the time that Smith got, it's likely to be ugly.

And, I think that will be done by doing whatever it takes to get ahead early. If we have Moore and Clancy in there, they just don't get that much pressure. We have to find a way to take Alexander out of the game. I'd love to see a trick play with Q early.

They have great skill people and just added one more. But, so do we. It will be very interesting to see if we can beat a very good team on the road. If our defense shows up and theirs plays well it should be a lot of scoring anyway. I never say we will lose a game in the 18 years I'm following this team , but we would have a hard time with or without Branch. But if we are going to be taken seriuosly we must play well this Sunday. IMO the final score could be 41-40

Just consider Frank Gore vs. Shaun Alexander...this could get ugly quick.

Also for consideration, didn't the Eagles only recently aquire Donte' Stallworth in a trade? He had huge impact in his game this weekend, let's not assume that Branch doesn't have a decent game this weekend.

Gore looked healthy and explosive Sunday. I wouldn't take anything away from him. Alexander is a proven commodity, but Gore would have been tough for most teams to handle Sunday. If he stay healthy, he will have a big year.

I think we can score on anybody. But, Alexander cannot run wild like he did in both games last season.

Outside of that opening run, I like the way we bottled Gore up. Bring Alexander on.....beat the best to be the best.

Well, he can, let's hope that he doesn't!!! It will be up to the Cardinals defense to play solid and limit Alexander's impact.

How can Seattle continue to snap up every free significant FA that comes down the pipe??? The only one that got away was Steve Hutchinson...

It's a trade. But to answer your question.....they give out huge bonuses.

I was speaking in terms of the salary cap. I don't much get into that aspect of the NFL (don't really care), however it's always peculiar to me when a team is able to continually spend, i.e. -Washington every year, Seattle this year.

I understand the bonus/guaranteed money, but even that must fit within the cap.

I personally like the way that Seattle overpaid for Branch - he is not a top 10 receiver in this league - heck, we have two of them...

I think a 1st rounder is too much for him-

This was a great move by Seattle so lets give credit where credit is due. Burleson is terrible for that offense but Branch will be a significant addition. If anything he brings that "New England" team attitude that only helps solidfy what was a mentally weak team last year...Plus he plays big and big spots and gives them a legit guy at the number one spot. I love that they gave up a number one but this could be a move that haunts us down the road.....

Damn I hate that team - I think they have bigger problems on the oline right now then they are willing to admit but this was a clutch pick up...

Can we trade Bidwill for Paul Allen......?
