Totally disagree. I and others who have made the transition from SDS to Glendale have seen first hand that the fans make a much larger contribution than what you credit.

I seriously doubt that the Cardinal coaches turned to each other in the middle of a playoff game and said smiling "this place is LOUD!" because they were hoping to be caught on camera and the shot would help to sell more tickets and merchandise.

BTW: Sometimes it does take days for us to recover.

during the nfc championship game an eagles fan sitting in front of us looked around bewildered at the noise. he then turned around to us and just mouthed the word, "wow." we had an impact.

if we didn't all that pain from my sides cramping up was wasted. and i was in a lot of pain. ask cheese.

loco - i've said that over here and obviously was met with disagreement

just like the cards @ hawks in 2002 peoploe were able to casually chat with the people around me when the oppositon was on defense

same with every game i've attended here (usually 2-3 per season)

granted I haven't been to a playoff game which does seem like it kicks up .... but week to week, play to play, on the average UoP just isn't that loud

doesn't make it bad - but you really can't compare the two, at least not right now on an every game basis

last couple of times I've been to Qwest you have to scream at the person next to you ... you'll lose your voice just trying to talk about plays and stuff ..... this doesn't just happen on 3rd down or big plays or against a divisional rival .... it's all game long

The game dictates the strength of our crowd. What games have you attended? I will tell you the niners games are always very loud. I only said that our stadium can bring the noise when we need to. Our state is more laid back and maybe we only get loud for the playoffs but our home record since we opened the stadium is better then the Hawks.

By the way in 2002 we were in Sundevil Stadium so that does not count in the equation.

smart fans don't scream while their offense is on the field.

all game long? sounds like your rabid seahawks fans are just ignorant.

Also saw this today and it shows that we are improving, at least in the noise factor.

:)

Just so everyone can read what your pointing too...

The trend has held this season, with visitors to Qwest Field committing nine false starts in two games. The 4.5 average leads the NFL through Week 6 (Arizona's University of Phoenix Stadium ranks second at 3.5 per game).

I'm glad you saw this, too. Making your stadium "deafening" when your offense is on the field is stupid. I'm certain that in Lucas Oil Stadium you can hear a pin drop when Peyton Manning is operating the offense. Your quarterback can't use the hard count or audible if all the idiot fans are screaming their heads off.

sorry folks ... that was a mistype

just as a fan above misread my post about 2002 (which was at the then Seahawks Stadium and was quiet) ...... I've been to way more road games than home games in my life so my fingers didn't stay right with my hands as I was heading out of work ....... in the games I'm at the home team is 90% of the time the opposition

Qwest is quiet when the hawks are on offense (although some noobs try to get the wave going..............) and deafening on defense ..... in between you're treated to sea-hawks chants

pretty obvious mixup - but whatever makes you feel better

Uggghh... this again?? You're just wrong about this, ok? Qwest is louder - nobody debates that reality. I've been to 3 games at Qwest field over the past 3 years as I have in-laws with season tix up there. I will be the first to vouch for the noise level at Qwest. It's deafening - all the time!

However, your constant shirking of the reality that is UoP is simply old, and simply wrong...
I am a season ticket holder. I've been to plenty of games at plenty of the loudest venues across the country. And I contend that UoP is easily in the top 10, and more like top 5.
I have hosted friends and family since UoP first opened, and all were instantly blown away by the noise-level.

Enjoy the reality that Qwest is numero uno in terms of noise. Nobody is attempting to pull you down from that position. But likewise, just accept that the historically worst sports franchise on the planet has somehow developed a home field situation that is nipping at your heels! ;)

1 - i've only mentioned it once prior

2 - i didn't bring it up this time

3 - it's my experience being in there dozens of times and many other NFL stadiums ... and for the record i'm not saying that it's a tomb or night and day quieter than other stadiums .... but it's definitely not louder .... it's pretty average from my epxerience .... you don't agree ... i don't care ...

4 - i really don't care about having this conversation further, it's not that important or interesting and wont respond to anything further on it as it's of zero consequence to anything
