The Seattle Seahawks are entering the 2025 NFL draft searching for interior offensive line help. As currently constructed, Olu Oluwatimi and Jalen Sundell are battling for the starting center gig. There's no straightforward option at left guard, and a bunch of young, underperforming blockers are present at right guard.
General manager John Schneider needs to add higher-upside offensive lineman via the draft. One potential option is visiting the Seattle Seahawks. Aaron Wilson is reporting that the Seahawks will soon host Sacramento State offensive lineman Jackson Slater on a pre-draft visit.
Slater first began making waves at this year's Senior Bowl. The small-school blocker traveled to Mobile and proved he could handle big-school competition. Slater increased his pre-draft stock as a result.
Slater was an outstanding performer at the NFL Combine. The versatile prospect ran a 5.01 in the 40-yard dash with a 1.78 10-yard split and also posted 31 reps on the bench press, second-most among participating linemen. Slater also leaped a 9-foot broad jump and 28.5 inch vertical.
The Seahawks are slated to make four selections between Nos. 50 and 92 overall. That's the sweet-spot for Slater, who NFL scouts view as a long-term developmental starter at guard or center.
The Seahawks are also slated to host Alabamaquarterback Jalen Milroe and Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams on pre-draft visits.
