Football is a funny game. While James is out of the league, at least for now, the guy EJ is linked to from the 1999 draft, Ricky Williams, is averaging 5.4 yards per carry and has 5 TDs for the Dolphins.

What he did for the Cardinals is underestimated.
Over 2,000 yds rushing? Put together the all time list and that is pretty good. Use only the time the Cardinals have spent in Arizona and see where Edge ranks.

He was a class act the time he spent with the Cards. Making the HOF has become more of a popularity contest with sportswriters than actual performance and value to the team. So who knows whether or not Edge will get into the HOF.

Edge was not a class act.

Edge had back to back 1200 yard seasons with OUR team's Oline! That alone should put him in the Hall IMO.

He played a Key roll in helping our team get to the SB last season and he was a class act...

I'd say the way he took TH under his wing proved he was a class act...

I would say that openly complaining in the media about # of carries your getting (seasons 1 and 2) When you are leading the league in carries (season 1) top 5 in carries (season 2) then again early in season 3 when you are playing like crap and fumbling in key situations is the epitomy of being a baby and not the least bit classy. Shows just how selfish you are.

I would say that missing practices without excuse is not a show of class. I would say repeatedly making open comments to the media saying "I don't know why they even brought me here" etc.... Is undermining and not classy. I would say making comments about being more worried about your personal stats as opposed to team accomplishments is selfish and unclassy.

I would say that making comments after the SB saying your teams jersey belongs in the garbage is the epitomy of no class.

I never could understand that either. Edge was the first Cardinal RB since Ottis Anderson in 1981 to have over 300 carries in a season.

He should have done his homework and known the Cards didn't know how to run the football before he signed.

On the other hand rushing for over 1000 yards back to back with the Cards is very impressive especially considering Anderson was also the last Cards to do that '83-'84.
