Hmmm... better option that Francisco was and Ware is? Gotta take a look at this dude. Bring him in!

Russell provided what the Seahawks asked him to provide when they signed him two years ago: assignment-correct football designed to prevent big plays by the opposition. Switching to Babineaux suggests the Seahawks might be more concerned with making their own big plays than simply preventing their opponents from making them.

Heeey! Isn't that exactly what we need as well??

How hard could it be to replace Ware? Ware did start our second pre-season game and was leading the team in tackles up until the late second quarter. But his tackles were coming so far upfield it did'nt matter.

I also remember the Giants game at the nest last year where he missed single handedly (3) Special Teams tackles that gave the giants the greatest field position on our side of the field EVERYTIME.

He should'nt have been here after that game, much less still with us in depth and also starting. Why can't Rolle do more as a FS??????

The guy sucked when they signed him and he still does. He gives up TD after TD, long pass play after long pass play.

Seattle's D gave up more 40+ yard pass plays then we did and 19 more 20+ yard pass plays then we did last year. And we sucked at it to. Russell was a very big reason for those numbers out of Seattle.

I think I heard that GB cut the former Steeler safety, Anthony Smith. He looked pretty good against us.

I'm fine with Adrian Wilson, Antrel Rolle, and Rashad Johnson. Not to mention he is freaking horrible. He's basically Eric Green playing safety.

You know what they say, one mans trash......

Some of these players, like the aforementioned Smith and Russell, are at least worth a look

definitely an upgrade over francisco - but russell definitely sucks

really glad to see him gone and not have to worry about this streak cutting through the screen, diving in the air and completely missing the play while leaving the rest of his teamates out to dry

Where have I heard why not bring him in before? What ever the name bring him in! Lets all take a deep breath before we are chasing anything in jockey shorts. There is a reason why players get let go, especially from bad teams.

He IS Fransisco.
Marginal wheels.
His upside is that he does see the field a little better. but he's not an accomplished a ST player and not as good with the open-field tackles.

More or less, the Cards just cut this guy. The diference is one good season w/ the Vikings.

This team doesn't need him, it needs a Reggie Nelson.

Why all the lack of love for #22?

He may not be good enough to crack the starting secondary, but he is big & physical, can play both S and CB and I thought he made plays in preseason.

Does this anti-Ware sentiment have any real basis on what someone saw on tape? Or is it just the next person in line repeating what he/she "heard" from the previous person?

Based on last season, I saw Ware consistently make poor decisions and make critical and stupid penalties. He is a waste of space as far as I am concerned

Yep, but the key word here is, in the ONE game. A player does something in ONE game and all of a sudden it means he does it consistently. I guess perception is greater in the mind then reality, we all do it.

but I don't think that's the exemption, I think that is the rule for Ware. He never seems to do anything that I see.

I was hoping we'd be able to PU Anthony Smith, cut by the Packers, but he was taken by the Rams, I think they had the second or third WW choice.

Why switch the topic to Fransisco we are talking about Ware.

Anyways. I was only talking about people calling him some sort of penalty machine. He had 4 penalties all year and 3 of them came in 1 game. It happened in one game and all of a sudden he is consistently getting penalties? Pope, Levi, Wilson, Dockett, now those guys get penalties consistently. And No I am not comparing their skills.
