The Seattle Seahawks remain busy in free agency, looking to supplement their depth on defense. On Friday, the Seahawks signed former Cleveland Browns free agent safety D'Anthony Bell to a one year deal, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Seattle is already set when it comes to their starting safeties with Julian Love and Coby Bryant, but there is no such thing as having too good of depth in the NFL.

Bell was an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Browns in 2022 but quickly proved his mettle. Bell became an active participant in all 51 available games played in his career, including seven starts at safety. Bell will most likely find his way on the field as a key special teams contributor, looking to shore up a Seahawks kick-off team that was a shocking liability in 2024.

Overall in his career, Bell has recorded 61 total tackles - 47 of which were solo - four pass defenses, two interceptions and two quarterback hits. Seattle is clearly aiming to have a nasty defense in 2025, and all their moves this offseason back up this assertion.
